Perhaps my favorite house tour of all time. I didn't fall in love with every element, but the concept and execution were so tightly-knit that I was helpless to resist. Unbelievable. This is what makes me want to hire a designer (for everything).

Art of a political figure (lets remember where he hails from - Chicago politics) is never welcome in my home. A positive message and great delivery, that's about all I've seen so far.

I bet you'd feel pretty silly with an expensive portrait hanging in your house if you get a clinton-like or bush-like presidency.

Now, I could leave an extended comment detailing how I am an excellent review-writer, or that I have been using method products for some time...but I won't. I will simply state that I am a college student, and my apartment is nothing short of filthy after about a week of "life" (some would argue that college is not 'life' but in fact some sort of fantasy land--with which I agree more and more) and said circumstances would certainly put these Method products to the test.

Give me a reason and the accoutrements necessary to clean this 'sty!

The lease is going to be your best friend/worst enemy throughout this. Because it is a leagally-binding agreement, any changes subsequent to its signing (esp those not in writing) are difficult to prove for both sides.

I am guessing your lease has some "as is" clause in it (most do). Given the date of your signature on the lease, you should be able to argue that if the "as is" clause exists there, you were not agreeing to these "improvements" to the apartment--you agreed to pay rent on the place you were presented. This is generally a hickup on which the landlord/building owner attempts to benefit given that they need not make any promised improvements if you signed that lease (unless indicated in writing thanks to the Statute of Limitations).

Someone mentioned that the best thing to do is consult a lawyer on this matter. It is. However, be careful to estimate if the time/money spent on possible litigation is worth it!
