Hello again.
I've posted a loose summary of what I did to makeover my glider. This is not a pattern, or super detailed instructions but just a basic summary of what I did. I hope you guys find it useful and good luck!

Hi everyone,
I've gotten lots of requests for instructions so I'm going to try and describe what I did, with some more photos and post them up. Check back in 2-3 days for the link :-)!

Thanks again for everyone's comments. To answer some questions: Yes, it still glides - i put pleats at the bottom corners by the feet to allow for movement. and it's comfy to sit in.. more padding that was there before actually.

To Glamslam, sure, i'll try to describe more on how i did it if you like and maybe send you some pics of the thing unzipped so you can see the inside/underneath (the seams aren't finished as neat as they should be tho :-). you can email me at jacq@rockpaperscissorgraphics.ca.

Thanks for all your comments! I didn't use a pattern but i cut roughly shaped pieces of fabric first, then pinned and tailored as i went. i used a lot of extra padding (foam and batting) as well as some thin masonite board to square off the arm and back. I don't know if i'd have time to sell them on Etsy though --- not with the baby on his way :-). thanks again!

Oh- it took about 4.5 metres of fabric.
