That's a beautiful transformation! What kind of fabric did you select?

Well, they said they weren't nesters. If they were the types to decorate and make things homey, the space would be too small for them. But they like to be out, which I think is nice. Plenty of people in New York eat out all the time anyway, even with more space. I do feel bad for their cats though. They look like the kind who may want to jump around. Do they have a balcony outside their window?

It's a beautiful space! Lila, do you keep all your clothes and shoes in that dresser? I find in a small space I have the hardest time with the containment of my clothes.

I never gave a second thought to these chairs until I sat in one. They are surprisingly comfortable and fit me to a tee!

Not too over-the-top complicated, but a lot more complex than my standard 3-ingredient short ribs recipe was Suzanne Goin's recipe for braised short ribs. The night I had them I didn't think they were worth all the trouble and the cost, but the next day they were even better and I think, worth it. It helps to get some distance from the cooking--the mess of it and all the dirty dishes.

That's beautiful. Is the paint color different too, or is that just the lighting? What gray is that?

I love putting stuff out on the street and seeing it gone in a matter of minutes. Because of my DNA, I have a hard time throwing things out, so there's a real satisfaction in knowing someone can find a use for whatever I no longer need. It's also more instantaneously gratifying than waiting for weeks for some charity to pick up your stuff.
