I'm at home with baby simmering some onion soup and feeling like some rosemary roasted taters and honey rolls. Feels very autumnal in Missouri today. What's Cooking This Weekend? Weekend of November 14-15, 2009 | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn#comments |

I love it, I love it, I love it. I can't get over it! She is so confident with her use of color. Every new photograph gave me more inspiration - I feel like, hey, if this place can make such intense colors work, maybe I can, too!(?) Swan, I am vegan with a meat-eating husband and it is AWFUL! I LOVE to cook and he likes Hamburger Helper and ramen noodles. At dinner, I feel like I've prepared a feast for myself. My favorite way to cope is to frequently invite dinner guests. If he sees other omnivores enjoying my "rabbit food" then he is more likely to give it a try. Funny thing is, he usually likes it. It's just getting him to figure that out that is the trick. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: Resources for Going Vegetarian? |

This year was my first balcony garden and my results were basically opposite of yours. My basil was weak and my parsley grew like a weed. And the comment earlier about parsley coming back is true. My cat chewed my first batch all to hell and a month later, I had another little bush of it, ta-da! Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Top 5 Small Space Veggies (& Things We Won't Plant Again) |

That is GREAT. Looks so cozy and easy to spend time in. I dream of having a kitchen with windows so I can grow herbs in the window, it always looks so cute! Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Before & After: Setting Up the Kitchen |

My husband's father owned a saddle shop and after he died, hubs inherited EVERYTHING from inside the shop. I understand the need to hold on to it, but there are times when, as a vegan, I tire of being surrounded by displays of leather working tools, leather saddles, and signs advertising "custom leather" merch. My husband has a whole collection of decks hanging in his studio. We just hot-glued necklace chains or jute rope and hung them from a nail. (This is much easier if the opposite side has grip tape attached, I guess.) Apartment Therapy New York | Hanging a Charley Harper Skate Deck as Art? Good Questions |

Amen on the wine ... I'm all over that. Probably my fave part of the whole tour was going, "Holy wow! Look at all that wine!" Apartment Therapy DC | Jayne's Global Eclectic Home House Tour |

I call the cops if: a) there is hitting/physical fighting, b) there is loud cursing (I have a daughter...), or c) I have asked them or another neighbor has asked them to quiet down and they haven't. Apartment Therapy Los Angeles | Would You Call The Police on a Noisy Neighbor?Good Questions |

My bookshelf is located in the entry hallway, so it is the first thing people see when they walk in. I choose my favorite books to go on the ends, probably in the hopes that someone asks about them and I can gush. Apartment Therapy New York | Do You Hand-Choose the End Book? Survey |

I recently learned how useful my kitchen table is. How? I decided to re-do it with mosaic tiles, a project that has taken more than a week now. Being WITHOUT something really helps illustrate the item's necessity. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | AT on ... The Most Useful Piece of Furniture in Your Home? |

I would agree as far as stitching them together - a friend of mine stitched old rag rugs to make an extra-long (like, 12 feet) runner for her hallway and it actually looked great! Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Layering Rugs for a Uniform Look |
