I am with you!
I try to keep up with myself. When my daughter goes down for her afternoon nap, I will turn OFF the TV and turn on music and just try to get as much done as I possibly can before she wakes up. It helps me to hunker down and get it all taken care of at once - that way I never feel like I "spent the whole day cleaning house" and I can sit down and enjoy it.

I'm at home with baby simmering some onion soup and feeling like some rosemary roasted taters and honey rolls. Feels very autumnal in Missouri today.

Swan, I am vegan with a meat-eating husband and it is AWFUL! I LOVE to cook and he likes Hamburger Helper and ramen noodles. At dinner, I feel like I've prepared a feast for myself. My favorite way to cope is to frequently invite dinner guests. If he sees other omnivores enjoying my "rabbit food" then he is more likely to give it a try. Funny thing is, he usually likes it. It's just getting him to figure that out that is the trick.

This is my all-time favorite house tour. Wonderful. It makes me feel so good to know that a lived-in house can look beautiful, too.

My husband's father owned a saddle shop and after he died, hubs inherited EVERYTHING from inside the shop. I understand the need to hold on to it, but there are times when, as a vegan, I tire of being surrounded by displays of leather working tools, leather saddles, and signs advertising "custom leather" merch.

The FLOORS! Ahhh, the floors. *jealous*

I call the cops if: a) there is hitting/physical fighting, b) there is loud cursing (I have a daughter...), or c) I have asked them or another neighbor has asked them to quiet down and they haven't.

Honestly, just call 'em. Usually, one or two noise voilations will keep parties calm and quiet.

I recently learned how useful my kitchen table is. How? I decided to re-do it with mosaic tiles, a project that has taken more than a week now. Being WITHOUT something really helps illustrate the item's necessity.
