I should have mentioned that the white Adirondack chairs were not to be included in the design, they're being put outdoors!

The two chairs are an olive color.

Yesterday, I purchased 4' mirror that I will probably hang over the red couch and a lighter gray paint for the wall behind it.

I would try using vellum papers which are translucent but still enough to dull the light. They are cheap and often found at craft stores. You can also find them in a variety of colors, sizes and patterns.
