Just FYI, many of the antiques (especially the orange/reds) are actually radioactive and should not be used for food/drinks.

Yes. Very Dali-esque. He did a lot of paintings/sculptures of women with drawers.

"The only difference between immortal Greece and our era is Sigmund Freud who discovered that the human body, which in Greek times was merely neoplatonical, is now filled with secret drawers only to be opened through psychoanalysis."

I keep coming back to this page. I really like something about these... not sure what it is, but I think they're great.

Has anyone here used the scooba for hardwood floors? I'd love to hear your experiences with it, specifically how well it does if the wood pieces have small gaps between them.
I don't mind vacuuming, but I really detest mopping...

Fabframes - I was also under the impression that this contest was only open to designs that were not yet being mass-marketed. Maybe I'm misinterpreting the rules page.

The colors are great, but I think having a photo of a dead bird on my wall would totally creep me out.

I love how in the sketch it looks like the shade is swallowing the lightbulb. Very cute.

hla21, could they be fungus gnats?

If so, you may be overwatering. Give the plants and soil surfaces a good spray with insecticidal soap, and try to let the soil dry out between watering if the plants can tolerate it.

Agreed. Uncluttered coffee tables make a room look so much tidier. What I don't understand is people who insist on coaster use when they have glass tables. They're so easy to wipe down, and coasters are so annoying.

Wow, Jessica... Thanks so much for that website. I have been wondering all week if 2 colors would look good together in my apartment, and now I know they might look great! :)

When many of you say you hate wall-to-wall, do you mean all over the apartment? I have wood everywhere (living/dining room, kitchen, hallway) except the bedrooms, which have carpet. Do you all prefer wood floors in the bedrooms too?

Following on from Rebecca's comment - there is a store in my town that has fake plants actually PLANTED in the ground in their flower beds. Soo ugly.

Um, and like carolynapplebee pointed out, it's one thing to list your dislikes and pet peeves, but it's a very different thing to make judgements and say awful things about people who have different tastes from you. Comments like those make it very upsetting to read otherwise fun and lighthearted threads...
