I forgot to mention where in Paris I bought these: Georges Larnicol and la pâtisserie de rêves; I talk about both of them in my guide to Paris (http://issuu.com/alittlebite/docs/paris-guide?viewMode=magazine) Falling in Love with Kouign Amman |

I tried it for the first time in Paris a few months ago... it was DELICIOUS. Much better than croissants, and that's saying something. And yes, my favorite was the plain one (although I also tried salted caramel and chocolate ones) Falling in Love with Kouign Amman |

Place a tallish bookcase surrounding the banister. That way, if you ever need to move in furniture you can just move the bookcase out of the way, and no one will fall down the stairs. How Can We Fix Our Short Banister? Good Questions |

I'm from Spain, too... I made my parents their 25 year anniversary wedding cake and posted the recipe online in Spanish if you want to check it out. I started baking everything about 2-3 days beforehand and finished it off the same day the party was being held. Help! I Need Make-Ahead Wedding Cake Ideas Good Questions |

I would put the bed where nikokera suggested. Then maybe a small sofa floating in the space with its back to the kitchen, and maybe a desk or dining table (depending on your needs) set up against it. I really like the floorplan and I'm currently looking for something similar in Chicago... would you mind telling me how you found the unit? Maybe e-mail me the info? Hi Natalie! I love your place. I especially like what you did with the Erslev Ikea rug. I've been looking for a rug for quite some time and really like the green and texture of the Erslev, it's really cheap but would like to dress it up as yours, it looks awesome. Would you mind sharing a tutorial on how you did it? Revisiting Natalie's Alcove Studio House Tour | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

Why don't you hang them from the overhang as if it were the ceiling? In my living room we had to hang them from the ceiling and I don't really like the panels you mentioned either - but one day at Ikea I noticed they had used this rod which is meant for a wall in the ceiling http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/50144874 How to Hang Curtains on Window with Odd Overhang? Love your space! I noticed the headboard was made from Ikea curtain fabric - do they sell the fabric as well or just the curtains? I'd love to have some cushions with that fabric, it's just so cheerful... Small Cool 2010: Mary's Animated Organized Little Division #22 | Apartment Therapy New York |

The place looks really good. I have the same bed as you, and instead of a bedskirt, I would suggest getting bedding that (almost) touches the floor to hide the boxes. I bought the bedding at IKEA as well, http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/00162648 you should give it a try. I have white trim, molding and doors and gray walls (so pretty much just like you) and although I wanted the look of wood inside the closets my boyfriend convinced me to go white and I don't regret it. Picture 3 in the second row is a discontinued model from Ikea, I own the same own (and I'm very happy with it, it only cost me about $100-$150).
