These are beautiful! I am about to wallpaper a very small bathroom and was just trying to figure out how to determine the right size pattern repeat for the space. Is there a general rule for how large is too large or how small is too small of a pattern for a small space? My bathroom is mostly doors and closets so the area to be papered is limited. Thanks for the help! I was excited to see this topic covered today!

angeladudek-thank you for that link. that is incredibly helpful. i was leaning towards a bold print but they don't look quite right-i think because of all the tufting. maybe a matte neutral with more interesting pillows would be a good (safe) solution.

puddle-i do love and appreciate the bones of the room. the floors are the original solid oak, they are stained the same color as the window trim and crown moulding. i think we'll re-assess the need for under-bed storage after the built-ins are there. do you recommend lowering the bed because it would look better? the ceilings are 10 ft. ? the fireplace is technically optional--just a money saver. i like the idea of painting it the same color as the wall. what about a slightly lighter or darker shade than the wall? which option would make it stand out less? or is an exact match better? thank you!
