Great contest! My Boston area grocery stores have really been picking up on the reusable bag habit lately: making them $1 and giving the shopper back 5 cents for reusing the bags. I use a couple of different ones, and my mom has always used the same green mesh one since I can remember. I think the key is having one small enough to pack along so that I have one for the "random" stops at the bodega or wherever. I grew up in DC (on well water, no less, which attractively shaded my teeth an odd color as a kid) but I miss the San Francisco public water since I now moved to Boston. I think I'm a good tester because I just got teased for drinking so much water that I think something's wrong with SOME PEOPLE who don't have to pee 3 times in a night. Ahem. The only bottled water I still crave is sparkling - I wish they made that in tap format. made this tonight - though I kept everything got. sauteed leftover scallions with garlic on low for a while, added red pepper flakes, salt, brought the heat back up and added the squash. a drizzle of citrus olive oil and it was alllllll good.
