I presume, it's the oil in the mayo that does the job.

Oil (or any other fat) is quite helpful to get rid of nasty stuff like streaks from rubber soles on wooden floors or residues from sticky labels.

Of course the surface it is used on should be nonabsorbant.

As MUDDYMUDKEEPER said, different mosses require different conditions (light, moisture, ph-level, air pollution). A moss from a wet, rotten wooden log deep in the woods most probably will not thrive on a more sunny brick wall, on terracotta pots or on flagstone pavers.

It was not because of wisdom teeth but I had to live on soft, smooth food for around three months.

In addition to everything mentioned above I found it extremely helpful to have jars with baby food at hand. I went for the best quality brand available to ensure a sufficient supply with nutrients. In the office or when traveling these little jars really were a life saver.

These and vanilla and chocolate ice cream (without chocolate pieces!) drizzled with Amarena sauce (no cherries!) ;-)

Good luck to you!!!

Top-entry litter box?? With 'grated top'?? Do these people know anything about animals??

Stock or cattle grids are used to prevent animals from crossing over. Cats hate to walk over a grid let alone to jump on one in this position. With this 'designer' litter tower a poor cat is forced to do its business in an extremely unnatural way. That is cruelty.

Wondering about the patent on the rocking horse. Looks like a very traditional making and design to me.

You obviously missed this rocking horse http://www.kensington-rocking-horses.co.uk/best-rocking-horse.htm It was in Nuremberg, too ;-) It has got several awards and is the most beautiful and one of the safest rocking horses I know.

@ MUFFET
I guess, you're right. No horizontal cuts. But vertical cuts cross- and lengthwise. At least that's what I take from the images (didn't understand the cutting instructions, too).

This looks divine! I have to make it!

OMG! The Giordani is to die for! And, yes, the wicker carriages from the 50s are in the same league. I always wanted one - as a cat bed :-)

Love the last picture. I'm surprised how well orange is going with taupe and khaki. I don't like tangerine tango, so I'm glad they used orange rather than that :)

I've expressed my opinion on the main page (Apartment Therapy) already, immediately after the change. I really appreciate the larger pictures, the larger fonts, the cleaner look. Best of all, the site has become very, very fast. And after some time now I love it even more! Very well done!

But I may have found a bug today, or you know it already. After doing a search (here 'finger food') and clicking on one of the links in the search results, I cannot see the comments on that thread. Which is a pity because in the comments is what I've been looking for.

E.g. this thread http://www.thekitchn.com/good-question-w-1-6353
It says 36 comments but I can see one only and I don't know how to get to the rest. Any idea?

I've never before heard anything negative about drinking water. And if so, I wouldn't have listened. I cannot imagine having a meal without water. Makes me think of suffocation.

Yes, tap water always plus sparkling water, if somebody wants some. Very cold, sometimes with lemon slices. I'm thirsty now...

In the fridge: medical salves and gels, homoeopathic drugs, especially those in gelatin capsules. Batteries, film, sun lotions, plant seeds. Sometimes seeds mixed with damp soil for stratification. In summer in the freezer small wet towels for refreshment.

OK, my 5 cents:

Really love the larger photos and the new larger font (but not so the TNR). It's more airy now. It's good to have Ohdeedoh, Unplugged and Re-nest worked into the main site but it's a pity to lose their names.

I understand that The Kitchn is separated but there really should be a tab for it on the top and on the bottom. A tab that leads to the main kitchn page and not to some random post in between (and vice versa when being on the kitchn site).

As others said before, the MAIN should be where all posts come in. Absolutely. (For this I even put up with the Scavenger although being completely useless, if you're in Germany)

And, as somebody else has said before, while you're at it, why not open house tours or any other categories in a new browser window? I never click on old house tours because I don't know how to get back properly to where I was.

But the best of all - your site has become really fast now! The slow page loading was a bit annoying. Compliments and thank you for this major improvement!!

@ AILEENJ - Totally agree with you on quality wallpaper and especially on texture.

But I strongly disagree on getting an expert consultation in a brick & mortar store but then making the deal with an online shop because it's cheaper. That's simply not fair. That's what the small shops already suffered from in pre-internet times when losing customers this way to the upcoming big stores. See what happened to them. They are all gone.

And taking into account on what the online shop saves (rental, furnishings, staff etc.) it should be even more cheaper.

I cannot recommend taping the window with painter's or any other tape. At least not for more than a few days.

I did this once just to get an idea of how adding lattice to the windows would look like. Loved the tape so much that I left it in place.

First of all you'll have a problem cleaning the window. After some time the light/ sun/ heat will start to split the tape with the paper or film rolling down and the glue staying on the window pane where it hardens and becomes really ugly.

When you finally have enough of it all, you'll have fun removing all the icky glue.

There is something like glass polish available. It's used to get rid of deposits on car front shields.

I've got that from my car dealer and it was the only way deep clean my new windows without scratching them.

So why is it then that IKEA tea candles only burn to the half if placed outside in a lantern in winter? Inside the house these were fine but in the (very) cold they stopped burning half finished.
