I don't really get why you can't put water in an acrylic painted vase? When it's dry it's water soluble. When I was a kid I accidently used acrylic paint on a plastic palette and let it dry thinking I could just wipe it off later. Wrong! Water had no effect and even trying to scrape it off was near to impossible. I think I tried some sort of paint remover and it wouldn't come off. I scraped it and let water sit in it and it never came off. Acrylic paint is forever once it dries.

beautiful. how much does it cost to have something that wonderful? I spent about $200 this summer and mine in comparison to yours looks anemic. Is it fertilizer? or just good old expertise that makes the difference?

jen 83, you're right of course and we all know it and while i accept that by nature man is a carnivore i have begun to question my adherence to meat when my stomach turns at seeing a story of someone very normally eating a cat or dog when i have them as pets. i recently decided to not eat pork after seeing a pig save a goat on youtube and i know there are people who keep them as pets and claim they are very smart. i never considered chickens as smart or pretty but that white chicken sure looked beautiful.

Brilliant!
I was trying to think of what I could put in my empty window boxes that weren't flowers. I don't have a green thumb nor a lot of money so pebbles, cat grass (I have a cat and she loves to eat grass) and then some home grown flax seed . . . it's all inexpensive and low maintenance. I can't wait to do up my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
