I implore you to continue taking old furniture and making it your own by doing whatever you want to it and ignoring people that think that some generic old wooden teacher's desk is a priceless thing of beauty that should be encased in glass in a museum somewhere to be admired for all time.

I try to collect the keys but I always eventually forget which is which so I end up with a drawer full of old keys that don't mean anything...

Instead I just get tattoos for the homes I've owned - can't ever forget that!

I have a baseboard heater question that someone maaaaay be able to answer.

I recently installed some fruit crate shelving above a baseboard heater as seen here...

When my Dad came over for a visit, he said that this was a bad idea because baseboard heaters use radiant heat traveling up the wall in order to effectively heat the room. This seems logical but I wanted to see if anyone had any input on this before I go ahead and remove the crates...

Any ideas?

As someone who is very much into tattooing and interior design I do wish the two would stay separate - as others have suggested.

In my view, although I'd never buy one, Scott Campbell can really do no wrong and those Anthropologie pillows are pretty rad but I'd throw myself out my bedroom window if I came home and those awful Ed Hardy sheets were on my bed.

Totally! I thought the exact same thing when I saw this - how can the thermostat properly measure (& adjust accordingly) the room temperature from inside a box?

It's clearly the nice little Andrew Pommier those dudes have going that makes their place so incredible.
