Pelada: the story of two recent collegiate grads. They were the stars of their college soccer teams, but never made it to the pros. Instead, Luke (Notre Dame) and Gwendolyn (Duke) travel the globe playing pickup games in every nook and cranny of the world.

This isn't just a doc for the soccer fan. It's a story for anyone who's ever been in love with anything. It's really touching, and besides all that, a bit of a love story between the two main subjects. Plus, you get a tour of the world - every continent but Antarctica.

looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove this space. I'm also a big fan of color so this is right up my alley.

when we were kids, we did chores because our parents told us to.

I don't get why any extra incentive is necessary to get someone to make their bed. Then again, I'm a long way from having kids, so maybe I'll figure it out eventually.

There were three of us, and sometimes, my mom would ask us to do a one-person chore, like moving the laundry along. We'd sit around for a minute, looking at each other, staring and pointing fingers to decide who had to do it. Finally, one of the three would concede. My clever mama would then assign harder chores to the other two.

We learned quickly.

my Bibi is a bunny named Ariel. She's on display next to a small painting from Montmartre behind glass in a Billy bookshelf. But she comes out sometimes for cuddles and to watch TV.

I'm an otherwise completely normal 28 year old.

With every dinner party post there seems to be mention of people stressing over hosting. Why so anxious? It had never crossed my mind that hosting a dinner party even could be stressful, and I am far from perfect. My suggestion: don't care as much (whether people eat your food or not) and get friends who don't care as much either (whether everything runs exactly according to plan). Sometimes the best moments in life are improvised. If dinner burns, order pizza.

Greece is my current top foreign travel destination. There are too many places inside the States that I still need to hit up, especially in the Pacific Northwest and western states in general.

LOVE this space - totally the type of spot I could see myself in! I love your color selections and all the little details. And your artwork is fantastic! The boyf and I also have a Blow Up print in our apartment, but I'm superbly envious of the giant camera piece!

Thumbs UP!

I used to be big into scrapbooking and so would hang onto various ephemra for that purpose. And, during my first couple years of college, I kept a running log of various inside jokes, phrases or funny incidents that occurred. Both practices came in handy and I made some phenomenal scrapbooks out of them. Actually, the written phrase and incident log were possibly even more priceless....something about re-reading all that still brings me back to the days....

Now I'm a bit the opposite - always wanting to purge. The boyf. is either more sentimental or less tidy - he's always turning up movie tickets. When we moved into our recent apartment, he quite randomly produced the movie ticket from one of our first ever dates....it was tattered and wrinkled and now sits in a frame.

we have a pair of movie theater chairs that don't get much use. they're a bit sentimental and very "us" (not a "fad" piece of furniture), and yet, the couch is more accessible, and of course, more comfy. but the movie seats do get use on the rare occasion our small apartment overflows with guests. and i know we both plan to give them prime location one day, along with a reupholster and paint job. money and space constraints force us to wait, luckily we've had space enough so far that there's always been room for them, even if it's pushed up against the far wall

A park. There's actually been one under construction ever since I moved in, about 9 months ago now. It's completely fenced off so it can't be accessed until it's finally been completed. I would also like a grocery store within a half mile (we have one a mile away but the shorter distance would make it easier to tow groceries back on foot).

when we moved into a loft with a giant wall, it was the perfect solution for the boyf's ridiculous movie poster collection (which until then had been driving me nuts). We framed about 8 or so movie posters (mostly full sized but one or two smaller) and layered them like a frame wall. They look great and fill up the space, and now we don't have as many tubes of posters lying around. win-win-win!

awww so sad to see that amazing arch go. To each his/her own, but personally I loved it. I love the after, too.....but I would love it more if I hadn't known what was there before. I understand the kitchen was dark and small, but surely there are other fixes.

Do mobile check-in. Way more eco-friendly than printing a boarding pass, and you can multitask by checking in on the ride to the airport (as long as you're not the driver, of course).

I keep my phone charger in my purse, and I know this doesn't have to do with electronics, but my liquids go in ziplock baggies in my purse as well. That way, I don't have to dig into my carry-on, and then dig-into my toiletry bag, to pull out my small liquids. Also, I just store my ziplock baggies in my toiletry bag in between flights, that way I can keep reusing and reusing.

I read every comment (yes, even the spam by @fanfan113), obsessively looking for myself.

...I didn't find me in there, but I'll tell you who I am anyways. That person who drops into the grocery at 10 p.m. after soccer or fitness practice, doused in sweat (as in my light gray T-shirt is about 80% dark gray now, front and back). I'm always super self conscious about it, and would expect that others find me incredibly offensive. But I DO have to eat too.

I guess the screaming children and aisle blockers are more offensive (or at least more common) than my kind. But at the end of the day, we all have to eat, eh? It would be great if parents could teach their children proper manners but I've never parented so I can't really speak to that. I was a pretty darn good kid though, if I do say so myself. I never loved going to the grocery with my mom, but I did because she needed help. She would assign items to me and my sisters and we'd fan out throughout the store and bring them back to fill the cart at a faster rate. So we were all always on a mission, and engaged (of course we were older at this point). When we got to the checkout, we'd always load the groceries into the bags, even if there was a bagger there we'd give her a hand to speed up the process. At times there'd be three of us bagging. It just made sense. None of us wanted to be there, it just sped up the process so we could go home.

Oh, and our local grocery back home had a recycling center attached to it, so once we were a certain age, my mom would drop the three of us kids at the recycling center to return bottles and cans while she shopped. The prize was we got to keep the money, but even as a kid, it never seemed enough for the sticky work.
