Growing up I always felt that way about my parents' teak furniture. The house was full of the stuff. It was in the dining room, living room, their bedroom... Antique Shopping at Mom's House |

Our house is around 4,000 square feet. But, rent our basement suite to a couple of young muscians and our third floor to a young proessional woman. So, in our big house there are five adults, a toddler, and a cat. How Much Square Footage Do You Require? |

Kristen, you're not alone. My mother-in-law always comments on how "dirty" my house is, no matter how many hours I spend scrubbing. What this has taught me is that the people who really care about me don't care if it's a little rough around the edges. So, I no longer worry about the house being clean before mt other-in-law arrives. She's only going to say something anyway. When The Family Comes Around | Apartment Therapy DC |

And $3,000/month rent is ridiculous! I would NEVER pay that much rent for a property that wasn't my own. 10 Cities Where Renting Is Better Than Buying Mint Life | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Some of those cities look like real estate bargains to me. The only cities on that list that seem expensive are San Fransisco, maybe Seattle, and New York. Otherwise, every other city's average price is miles cheaper than the average in my own town. 10 Cities Where Renting Is Better Than Buying Mint Life | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

Agree with calderonlm. Get rid of the pink and green, for sure. But I actually think the cabinet itself it pretty cute. How to Deal with "Hideous" Built In Cabinet? Good Questions | Apartment Therapy Chicago |

As first time home buyers four years ago, we bought a 100-year old character home that had seen better days. Our home has soul and history you won't find in a new home. It's been a lot of work fixing it up, but so worth every penny and hour spent scraping and painting. New just isn't me. We also buy a lot of second hand furniture. Three years ago I painted my livingroom mint green and I have struggled with the choice ever since. It worked for a while, paired with white and teal. But I'm ready to move on now. During the summer months when the light is strong, the walls are so minty they make me feel physically ill (strange, I know). Making it Work: Minty Green | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

Six weeks?! Good lord, I was just starting to walk without pain at six weeks and was still bleeding like crazy. I cannot imagine going back to work at that point - that's downright cruel and inhumane. The Best and Worst Places To Be A Mother | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

It's not for me, but I don't have a cell phone either. At work I sit in front of a computer all day. When I'm at home, the last thing I want to do is sit/stand in front of another computer. So I'd still rather use a cookbook. iPad: First Impressions and the Epicurious App | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Once supper is in the oven (or on the stove) cooking, I wash up the dishes I used, put away the ingredients I used, and wipe down the counters. Then when dinner is over all that's left are the plates, cutlery, and a few serving dishes. Makes the job much easier. Your Favorite Product or Routine | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |
