I made a batch of this, followed the recipe but added some sliced fresh ginger and a spoonful of raw local honey. Incredible! I will make this all summer. Springtime Refresher: Dr. Oz's Green Tea, Tangerine and Mint Tonic Recipe Review |

Did I miss the part of the article that says they don' have health insurance? Maybe I did, but regardless, I think I'll stick to worrying about my own lifestyle and not worry so much about judging others. People who live in glass houses... My favorite Julia quote: "you've got to have the courage of your convictions!" She was talking about flipping something in a skillet -- a potato pancake, I think -- but it so applies to life. Of course no one -- not even Meryl--can say it like Julia did. I so remember coming home from kindergarten and watching Romper Room then the French Chef, what a combination! Our George Nelson Bubble Lamp. Is the focal point of our kitchen/dining/living space, and we love it. The $300 or so we paid is not bad for an icon of mid-century design. Biggest Indulgences: What Did You Pay Full Price For? |

FYI, we used Crestview doors which makes replacement doors for mid-c houses, for the front door to our house. You don't say anything about your door, but a new door makes a huge difference, and that style is very hard to find. We were very pleased with them. www.crestviewdoors.com (I think). I have those exact same orange lockers -- bought on Craigslist from an old factory in Chicago for $20 each. They look great in our entryway -- replaced the open hook system we had that always looked so messy. Love them! Storage Solutions: Industrial Lockers in the Home |

I bought a very old and rustic table at a garage sale, same paint situation. The seller had coated the entire table with a mixture of melted paraffin and mineral oil -- the same treatment that is commonly given good butcher block. It turned out very nice and really preserved the rustic quality of the table, and the paint does not chip or anything. Good luck! How to Clean Up but Retain the Antique Grungy Look? Good Questions |
