Absolutely lovely. I took over a former dining room for mine: http://www.lisafirke.com/2011/views-of-my-studio-part-2/ and it has a little of the same quality of light and joy.

Yeah, vote for Lisa! Her design of kitchen-themed woodcuts will look awesomely retro on a bag (remember that the bag will be beige).

Disclosure: I am Lisa, and thus biased. Totally.

I like the way the storage unit in the picture is cut to fit around the under-sink piping.

Keep in mind, too, that none of these designs will be against pure white. The bag shown in the original call for designs was muslin.

"Many of the others have jpeg artifacts that make them look fuzzier than they would if they were printed nicely on a bag."

Right. People should realize that the quality of the image montage above is not the same as the quality of the submitted images, which were much more hi-rez.

When baking cakes, try mixing 2 parts white and 2 parts wheat.

Another trick is to use white but add wheat germ.

Slightly off-topic: I've enjoyed this continued riffing on your Scrabble color-scheme. Another fine example here.

It was meant to represent the bag color.

Make pepper jelly. Serve in a blob over cream cheese with bread or crackers. Looks impressive at a party; tastes wonderful.

Emily:

BM Atrium white is lovely if you want a really clean, fresh white. It has the tiniest hint of pink in it, so it works where greeny-gray and yellow-y whites won't.

But for a dining room, what about introducing a chair-rail line and going for a two-toned look? You could even pull a tone of the color from the adjoining room for the bottom half.

I even blogged it.

Just make sure its something you really like (and looks good from all angles) since it will be reflected.

Apartment Therapy - Good Questions: What Should I Put on This Sideboard?
8/17/07 9:43 AM

I'd be all over this if it was just a teensy bit smaller. I measured, and it will fit in a standard kitchen base cabinet (with some kind of roll-out tray), but it means dedicated a whole base unit just to this appliance. If it could be half-a-cabinet and leave room for a skinny recycling bin beside it, I'd be sold.
