Which Foods Are the Most Dangerous to Handle?

I've gotten pretty good at this ever since I started chemo. My main trick is just to get everything prepped ahead of time which can still apply when you're regular sick. As soon as I feel anything coming on, I just make sure and clean the place more than usual so that I don't agonize over it when I'm incapacitated.

I also have essentially developed a "sick kit" that I always keep gathered. It's the little grab bag of items I'll keep next to me while I'm sick. It includes a blanket, pillow, my laptop, phone, tv remote, tissues, any meds, water, and Campbell's sippable soup. Whenever I feel a little better I clean what I can and it makes me much more restful knowing that my apartment doesn't look as bad as I feel and that I can take care of myself without having to rely on others.

We got to Penzey's in Minnesota's Uptown with our in-laws. Then we usually go back to their place and make an awesome dinner with the fun new spices.

We just received our first nice set of knives as a wedding gift and unfortunately didn't take proper care of them at first resulting in those rust spots. Thanks for the tip, I'll be trying it out this afternoon.

We always go out on the St. Croix pottery tour in spring. It's great being able to see all the different work and doubles as an extremely successful Mother's day outing. :) http://www.minnesotapotters.com/

Made this yesterday and it was delicious (and the perfect excuse to use my new trifle set!) This is definitely going in the recipe collection.

We're doing several tomatoes this year: grape, beefsteak, and trying out some of those pretty yellow lemon boys! :)

@Tasterspoon My family just tried this dying method and there was no flavor in the eggs after they were dyed. We even did very long steeping in the strong-smelling turmeric, and still no hint of a flavor affected the actual egg. The only thing is that I would be wary of staining. We didn't have an issue with the veggies or fruit based dyes, but the turmeric left our fingers stained and possibly our countertop.

And really focus on the straining and cleaning of the eggs to help keep your finish smooth and not blotchy. All in all, we got MUCH more vibrant colors with the natural dye as long as you were willing to experiment with steeping times and mixing colors. Will definitely do again. :)

Fantastic! Just yesterday I was lamenting that it wasn't Autumn yet and so I couldn't go foraging for puffball mushrooms, but I didn't know morels were a "spring crop", if you will. Thank you so much for the post; my fiance and I will definitely be hunting soon. :)

I got a large set of these little bowls and dishes from my fiance's grandmother's old restaurant and they make my cooking so much easier! I love setting them all out and getting everything all ready to go ahead of time; it looks pretty with all the different colors and makes the process that much faster. I just wish I had more than a foot of available counter space in our cramped apartment kitchen. :/

I have a small whiteboard hanging in the kitchen for writing down recipes so I don't have to have my laptop eating up precious countertop space (v. small apartment kitchen). So I also use it to keep track of measurements when anyone else is home and I anticipate frequent interruptions. (Though it never seems to save me from the "Wait, did I just put in 3 TABLEspoons or 3 TEAspoons of salt?")

I just made it tonight; it was really good except for the artichokes. (I had used canned artichokes) I personally would suggest steering away from canned chokes because most of them come with a really strong briny-taste that's really hard to mask/get rid of. Next time I'll go to my other grocer's and get frozen. :)

Oh and @BrooklynBaker: I agree, I agree, I agree. Target definitely knows how to be attractive.

I've suffered from this condition for as long as I can remember but only just realized it after taking a Packaging Design. Speaking of packaging, I've seen so much creative packaging this month due to Halloween being in a few weeks. For example, a fruit punch drink that was in a container shaped like a blood bag/iv drip bag; so fun! Fiance had to drag me away! Has anyone else seen any great finds recently?

I enjoy the message of "Keep Calm" but I would never purchase it for myself or anyone else. Too cold, I guess. Sterile. Though on the other hand, the same goes for "Grace" but then again it's probably because I'm tired of seeing it in every house throughout most of my childhood, including my mom's place. It's burned into my memory. x_x

Anything that is crocheted/knitted just because it can be. Just because you can, does NOT mean you should. (This is where crap like crocheted-toilet paper-doll-cozies are concerned.) I really think that you should use media that's appropriate to your project and not just whatever you think of mish-mashing. Now I'm not discouraging experimentation, I just think it would be more beneficial (and cool) to actually learn new skills instead of giving yourself a crutch and limiting yourself to just one trade skill. (I.E. making EVERYTHING out of yarn!) Am I the only one that feels this way?

I think it looks very soft and relaxing but I agree with everyone else on the dust issue. Especially since I have allergies and a cat, having a bedroom like that is just begging me to spend my time sneezing and coughing while attempting to vaccuum that fabric with blurry, tear-filled eyes.

I always want cheap, delivery Chinese food with several orders of hot wonton soup. And homemade chili if I can get it. (Sometimes I look forward to getting sick ;) )
