I'm not sure why you wouldn't bother just removing the tile where you want to add wainscoting. It's just a little demo, and since you'll be installing wainscoting over the walls there it's okay if the removal is a bit messy.

Also, is there a source for your barnwood mirror? I'm looking for something similar to that.

Love seeing the ROC represented!!!

House is warm, beautiful and cozy. I'd be happy to spend a cold and long winter in that house!

I currently live with radiators all over my house. I have a love-hate relationship with them. I hate how ugly they are, but they kick off so much heat!!!

They are perfect for warming up socks, towels, clothes, etc in the winter months too.

I don't know. I think it's tacky to make people pay to come to a party.

Even if it's "optional" they'll feel awkward.

Hot water is the key. I use soap on things that are oily or have residue. But it's really the hot water that kills the bacteria.

My mother-in-law has been doing this for years!

Her way is a little more "rustic" but easier. She takes a men's to-the-knee athletic sock, fills it with rice and sews it shut. Microwave it for a few minutes and cuddle with it or wrap it around your shoulders.

My family's lakehouse is about 10 minutes down the road. I've always wanted to see inside one of these beautiful row houses!

E-cards are just as lame as holiday cards with only a signature.

If you're going to spend the time, money and resources sending out holiday cards, at least write a little note.
