Two of the walls in my apartment kitchen are made of windows like the ones in #1! Although I'm looking to buy a house and none of the ones I've seen so far have very nice windows. If anyone in Madison, WI is looking to sublet an apartment, let me know... Larger Than Life Kitchen Windows |

This might sound kind of weird, but blanched sugar snap peas cut into bite sized pieces are a really great addition to potato salad. Recipe: Potato Salad with Yogurt, Arugula, and Dill | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

@sally305, I'm really don't want it to seem like I'm attacking you, but I'm very hurt by the opinions you've shared. I know you wrote that it's a societal problem and people judge other people based on their names (and on their race, sexual identity, class, etc.) regardless of whether it's right or wrong. But the fact that society is messed up and actively oppressive is not a justification. We should all actively work to change our bigoted societal opinions of things like so-called trashy names. And who knows, maybe if many people continue to give their children what are now perceived as unusual names, we can redefine what is thought of as normal and accept people based on their own merits instead of our biased pre-conceived notions of what they should be. I moved into a new apartment a couple of months ago and I've been working on a projects list that's a mile long. One of my last projects is to fix the fake tile back-splash in my kitchen. The tiles seem like they're made of plastic or some similar material and all of the tiles are connected together on a sheet. I can tell that the tiles used to be white, but at some point, someone tried to paint them yellow. That person didn't do a very good job because it just looks like swirls of yellow paint on a white background. I'd like to paint the tiles back to white, but I've never worked with this material before I don't really know how to go about it. Any suggestions? It's also great for getting rid of the marks tea leaves behind. Just add a tiny bit of water to any kind of salt and rub away. Apartment Therapy Re-Nest | Hot Tip: Eight (More) Ways to Clean With Salt |
