...cannbe found at Ikea sold separetely for €10....

...as for the inquiry about what seperates the mirrors, other than air of course as it exists everywhere around us! - I can better reply to this by saying:

->the mirrors are adjusted exactly next to each other and ->the small parts left uncovered, due to the curved edges of the squares, expose the surface where they are secured upon.

No,no... not a wall!...as mentioned in the first comment!

I trully hope I' ve been of some help here....a nice day or evening to all! :)

Hello Abby :)
thank you for making this post about my Love Mirrors and referring to me as one of your favorite bloggers!
That's a true honour!

I'm popping in, hoping to be a little bit of a help, by providing some info and directing the people to pictures, where the actual set up can be seen better, therefore answering some questions.

So:
-> this is not a mirrored wall, but
-> an installation of 15 Ikea, square mirror tiles
-> making up a big mirror, which measures 1,00x 60cm
-> on each tile, thoughts about love are handwritten,
-> using a permanent, silver ink marker
-> as this installation was made back in 2004
and has been cleaned numerus times since then
(with a soft cloth), the writing can actually last.
-> it is a 3 dimensional piece, as the mirrors are
secured with tape (the special one for mirrors - the
one used came with the box of mirrors) on the surface
of a " Klubbo" table, which looks like this:

and that:

There are many more views from different perspectives
of these Love mirrors and you can also read the story
of them here:

For an overall view of the space where they are, I think these photos help:

Fertha, I couldn't agree with you more, mirrors do not help any place unless they reflect light and uncluttered areas. In case of many things existing like you described, the outcome will naturally be worse, as you have double the amount of objects!
Organising things in boxes could probably help, by easing the eye and therefore the mirror's reflectios.

Btw, here is where I occasionally write:

Feel free to pay a visit and say hello!

Hello jsipe,

the banner fabric is from Ikea, a design availiable since a couple of years I guess. It's marked with 2006..

Thank you Sarah for featuring my tool box!
It's true that I only keep a few of them in there, most of which in smaller boxes, so that they remain organised and easily accessible. As I am a DIY person, my actual tool box is rather big....since speaking with pictures is what I prefer, I 'll make some and post them at the group for those who would like to have a look!

I love everything about the picture including the big wreath. I find its tiny light coloured frowers to balance the totality of the wonderful grey wall.

I also think that the big circle ( shape that symbolises emotion ) adds some plasticity to otherwise strict lines and again balances the whole result.

The colour pallete of the styling in this picture is actually very good and the the wreath contributes to that, by pairing nicely with the olive blanket and the green tone of the print.

I do am also concerned about good energy flow in our living environments and have also had a few seminars on Feng Shui, only to understand and realise that it's good for everyone to make their own rules. What works in China doesn't and actually cannot work in America or in Europe.

Wisdom and beauty lie in openmindeness, research and a willingness to always learn, adapt, experiment...

I hold a few degrees in my hands and am very careful before even making the slightest suggestion. I limit myself to expressing my opinion, as I am doing here.

Btw, a lovely, very Merry Xmas to all!!
Best wishes

Dear Susie,

thank you so much for having me and our penthouse in your blog!It has been a wonderful experience and given the fact that I am fairly new to the world of blogs and Flickr, I have to say that it has been the warmest welcoming I 'd ever expected!
And to all who left and shared a remark, a nice word, thank you. It means a lot and brings a big smile in my heart and face.
