Yeah I agree on the gray. Benjamin Moore's Marilyn's Dress is an amazing smoky gray with a tiny bit of warm brown. It would be great with the sunlight. As far as accent colors- I'd love to see a saturated blue-green maybe as artwork or accent pillows. Maybe some deeper mustard yellows? And definitely creamy whites for drapes, furniture, etc.

I made it to a screening on Thursday and I have to say, it was really charming. I loved the book, so I expected this to be a bit watered down, but the "Julia" parts were so vibrant and lovely. Amy Adams was cute as Julie, but Meryl really shined in her role. The Julia/Paul dynamic was so fun to watch, whereas the Julie/Eric one was kind of..meh.

Paul- some people have severe allergies to chlorine (myself included)...so your "ill informed" comment is way off base. Perhaps they just don't want to deluge their bodies with unnecessary toxic chemicals? I'm sure they're being responsible and testing the pool water regularly.

I packed a peach and a yummy rye bagel for breakfast (im a 10am breakfast eater), a quesadilla and some herb salad leftover from dinner, and some applesauce and some carrots.

I would say go for something neutral and then bold pillows/rugs/art/throws. That way you can change it around without a huge committment.

Oh man. As I write this from my 300 sq.ft. live/work studio, the green eyed monster rears its ugly head. Not that its at all my style, but I'd give my left arm for that much space. Even just the outdoor space...

Here in Boston, we have a little stoop where we spend most nights when it gets hot out. My method has been prepping that night's meal in the AM before work, so I have pretty much everything ready to go in the PM when it's too hot to lounge around the kitchen. We tend to eat pretty simply, so a nice g & t and a salad with stuff from the Farmer's Market are standard fare. Eating outside gives my hubby and I some time to catch up, free of the TV or other household distractions.
