Also, thanks for sharing this post. We're here living amongst it, and sometimes our problems feel isolated when it comes to the rest of the world. I know we all appreciate everyone's thoughts, prayers and help.

I've actually been thinking on this topic lately as my almost 3 year old daughter is running out of room in her toddler bed! From early on she has slept with two blankies, plus her actual quilt, and 2 bunnies that she got as a baby. To the collection she has added 2 pound puppies, her Bitty Baby, a little bear that used to be her baby sister's, a full-size pillow that she doesn't use, but is propped up at the top of her bed along with her little pillow that she does use. She also has a stack of books that MUST go to bed with her ever night even though she has no way to read them in the dark.

Not sure what we'll do when she adds her next thing. We're only allowed to add, not replace! I'm trying to come up with ideas of what to do when there runs out of room for her!! :)

Conceptually, I get it. But practically—I just don't see it working. Maybe my kids are the exception to the rule, but they do not sit still, are always pushing themselves away from the table, turning around to see what the dog is up to, and trying to grab each other's food even though they have the same thing on their own plate.

So really, I just see the plate, food and everything else ending up on the floor instead of just stray bits of food.

But isn't that why we have the dog?

Too funny! I bought these a little over a month ago and have them hiding in a drawer until I find time (MANY MANY projects going on at my house) to put them up!

So cute!! I would have loved playing with this as a kid. There was always something special about the felt board, though I'm not quite sure what! I'm willing to be bet my 2 little girls would love this as well.

My kids watch tv, but good grief! I'm not going to have a little multi-media pod to cut them off from the rest of the world. I'd rather my kids by outside playing, reading a book, creating something . . .To me this does not promote anything but encouraging them to veg out in front of the tube.
