The way maclarens fold is just about the same as any other umbrella stroller... would that lead me to believe that any umbrella stroller poses this same risk?

Most "bedding" companies sell their sheets separately, its skirts, quilts and bumpers that are half way impossible to get.

suuuuuuuper fun kids artwork. absolutely endless possibilities with that. orange looks fantastic with the fushia in the bedding, and softer pinks work too.

If we didn't sleep with two blankets we would be done for.

We have to sleep in at least a queen or we're not going to sleep at all. I snore lightly for about ten minutes when I first fall asleep some night, he says it's cute and he wouldn't have it any other way. I CANNOT live without my body pillow. He can't always sleep with a blanket on, and in the summer needs a fan and an AC pointed at him. He's a living breathing furnace and I cannot share blankets or get too too close to him at night.

All that being said, I never get any sleep when he's not there. Once we figured out separate blankets/sheets, life was wonderful. After 2 years, I would never ever go back. Even our parents think it's strange we sleep with our own blankets, I am happy to see so many other people do too!!

Bugaboo Bee!!

huge canopy, full recline, Seat reverses, takes a graco carseat (if you want, requires adapters), nice and lightweight, tiny turning radius... it's a good step above something like a Maclaren/Umbrella stroller and you can use it everyday. European design, chinese manufactured, 2 year warranty.

There is the Peg Perego Uno

http://www.pegperego.com/page.php?sid=df10cd545d33bfc88d61d55616242f89&pageid=CJVNL001&idf=08&idp=0000000194&cl=N

Which is a cute stroller but it's like 100% plastic. The handlebar flips over to give you the reversible option... But it's hard to steer when the little wheels are in the back. Takes a Peg carseat only with no separate adapters. Italian designed/manufactured, 1 year warranty

If you live somewhere the gets snow, STAY AWAY from anything that has the double wheels (as in an umbrella stroller or cheap evenflo/graco/peg travel system) The snow gets caught up between the two wheels and they freeze... you will toss the thing out the window the first time you have to carry your stroller down a busy street because the wheels are stuck. Unfortunately this seems to be what a lot of the light weight strollers have.

The Junior bed conversion (which you referred to as twin...) is very narrow and not likely to last as long as they claim either. They say up to seven years but I think it will really only get you to five.. maybe.

I think the bassinet and jr. bed options are completely skipable, especially since the crib does the toddler bed and chair modes WITHOUT any kits or extra mattresses!

I work in the baby furniture buisness here in Canada.... While we were lucky enough not to be carrying morigeau when it went out of buisness... it's had some interesting shockwaves. There really isn't a company making cribs in Canada anymore... it's a shame.

As for your extension rails... I know for shermag when they went (and are are still going..) under there seems to be a company who has taken over and is running them as a liquidation centre for any leftover stock. Extension rail kits are the more often "stocked" items, even if they are just sitting unstained in a warehouse somewhere. (you could stain or paint them yourself if it came to it) Trick is finding out how to get ahold of those people if they exist... your retailer might be able to help you out.

Another option is to really get in there and see how the extention rails connect and try using different/mis matched rails from another company?

Here in Toronto a lot of people seem to post "wanted" ads in the baby kids section of craigslist for various morigeau... try using several cities sites if your willing to drive/ship them.

Lastly you can obsessively call around to various juvenile and baby retailers and pray that someone has gotten stuck with some stock and you can take off of their hands (perhaps at a discount!)

and while it's no fun at all that you can't readily get your kit... count yourself lucky that you weren't one of the ones that waited for three months for their furniture to come in, only to find out it wasn't coming, and they weren't getting a refund, and their baby was here/almost here.

We have two lack shelves (one above the other) right above our tv with our old camera collection.... Once the film for that particular camera goes out of production, it joins the collection on the shelf. Anything we can still use goes into a camera bag where it won't get clogged with dust/dirt.

We also have some old useless lenses displayed there in their beautiful old leather cases.

Whenever we have a party we light little tea lights behind the cameras on the shelf to bring attention to them.... Always a good conversation starter for a couple of camera nerds like us!
