We were in the same boat last year. I ground the chops in the food processor and used them in meatballs, meatloaf, and meat sauce. I also sliced them thinly and used them in stir-fries. What Else Can I Do With Boneless Pork Loin Chops? Good Questions |

I received the Oxo model as a gift 3 years ago and L-O-V-E it. I use it for making smooth sauces and pureeing soups - in fact, I just used it this afternoon! When our immersion blender kicked it, I didn't see the need to replace it, as the food mill makes smoother, more velvety soups than we ever managed with the blender. Three cheers for the food mill! Actually Mason jars don't stack all that well - we have our spices in 4 and 8 oz jars, and when stacked, they're prone to falling over. We've addressed this by keeping the infrequently used spices in 4oz jars in clementine boxes, which keep everything in place. Best Spice Storage Solution: Mason Jars |

Jamie Oliver has a few. I've made his pork filet with roasted rhubarb, and this recipe for hot and sour rhubarb and crispy pork with noodles looks excellent. Do You Know Any Good Savory Rhubarb Recipes? Good Questions |

Snow removal sucks, but if it snows where you live, you've just gotta suck it up and deal with it - or rent and hope that your landlord is responsible for snow and then actually fulfills that responsibility. Sorry. Snow Removal Etiquette |

I so very wish we had the option of not having our cats in bed with us, but like many other commenters, the cats cannot be kept out of our bed. If we (or houseguests) close a bedroom door, we're treated to a symphony of crying, pawing, thumping, scraping, and meowling which is far more annoying than just letting them in. One insists on sleeping between us and/or on our heads. The other goes wherever is most comfortable. Furry Bedfellows: Do You Sleep with Your Pet? NY Times |

Add a splash of vinegar at the end - I use balsamic, red wine, or apple cider - adds a twang that counters the sweetness and acidity of the tomatoes. Love it. Help Me Make Better-Tasting Tomato Sauce! Good Questions |

I've hosted and surfed through Couchsurfing since 2006, and have rented through Airbnb since my honeymoon this fall. I've only had positive experiences with both sites and the people I've met through them. Couch Surfing: Would You Allow a Stranger in Your Home? |

My husband does the Japanese fold, which is the strangest and possibly least intuitive method for folding shirts that I've ever witnessed. I put in a year obsessively folding and refolding sweaters, shirts, and all manner of other things at a Lands' End outlet, so I feel like I'm pretty set in the folding department. Also, I'm with @nestingdollgirl about the sleeve handling in the Japanese method. Weird weird weird. The Japanese T-Shirt Folding Technique |

We switched to a Chemex four years ago and I'm now so used to the routine that it doesn't seem like a hassle at all. Of course there are mornings when I don't get the coffee made - but those are usually the same mornings when I don't get a shower or don't eat breakfast. Oh, and Thanksgiving 2006: different boyfriend, also making dinner for 14. My left arm is in a cast, so I make stuffing and mashed potatoes with one hand. My boyfriend, in the midst of prep, drops a VERY HEAVY cutting board on his big toe, breaking a toenail that doesn't really grow back for almost a year. Our out-of-town friends couldn't leave their dog at home, so the prep was punctuated by the dog chasing our cat (and vice versa). One of our guests broke up with her boyfriend right before dinner. Thanksgiving 2003: my boyfriend and I arrive Thursday night to help friends prep for a Friday dinner for 14. Within an hour, the friends we are helping have left for the ER, one of them suffering a severe asthma attack, leaving us to prep all the vegetables and stuffing and to bake five pies. The sweet potato pie is so perfect that it looks store-bought. The Swedish apple and cranberry pecan are perfect. We didn't have the full recipe for the chocolate pecan, so it more closely resembles a solid candy bar in pie shape than anything else. My boyfriend burns himself on the explosive pumpkin pie when he pulls it out of the oven. Somehow everyone survived, and we had everything in its place and the kitchen clean by the time the friends returned from the ER around 1230. Thanksgiving Fail: Tales from the Front Lines |

I'm definitely guilty of the Facebook Maybe, especially if it's an invite from someone I don't know well. I'm also an introvert who tires easily, so there have been many times when I've maybe-d, only to stay home because the idea of going to a party solo where I know no one exhausts me. Lame, I know.
