Thick sliced bacon cooks really well in the oven. It's the only way I cook it anymore (unless it's chopped up for a recipe!). How To Make Perfect Bacon in the OvenHome Hacks | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

After cooking most of my life with just nonstick cookware, I tried to use my wife's old RevereWare stainless skillet, and burned the heck out of everything until I turned the burner down 2-3 notches from what I was used to using. The stainless probably doesn't get any hotter, it just heats up so much more quickly than the hard anodized Circulon I'm used to. Now searing is much easier and better than with nonstick (but I still use it 90 percent of the time). Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Help! I Am Having Problems Searing Meat Good Questions |

White walls, Yellow cabinet bases with red, green, orange and blue doors and drawers. White appliances. Shocking at first, but we're so used to it we don't even notice! Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | What Color Is Your Kitchen? |

How about a cornbread recipe for non-crumbly corn bread? The one from the Alber's box is terrible, and doesn't taste all that, well, corny. That said, I'm sure I could buy better corn meal... Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Do You Have a Recipe for Cornbread with Real Corn? Good Questions |

I made it Saturday with a few alterations (no zucchini, Roma tomatoes, strips of chicken on top) but it was great. First time using Arugula and it was delicious! One thing: is Parmesan EVER optional? If I let my SS pans heat up at what I think is the right temperature, the oil instantly smokes when I add it. It seems they get hotter than my nonstick or Circulon pans. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | How Do I Keep Food From Sticking To My All-Clad Skillet? Good Questions |

My friends and I used to drink Lucky Lager. It was $3.99 for a 12-pack (1989!) and the 11-ounce, short stubby bottles had a rebus under their caps. The more you drank, the more fun it was to try and figure them out! #comments#comments |
