I sometimes clean as I go, depending on timing of what I'm making. It is sure nice when I'm done to only wash one thing or two. Clean Up! Do You Clean As You Go? |

Well that's a coincidence. I use the Costco olive oil mentioned and the post as my everyday oil and have been pleased for years. I fill a small glass bottle with it because precisely pouring from that big bottle is near impossible. In Search of a Good Everyday Extra Virgin Olive Oil |

I only cook for one but make lots of leftovers for lunches. I use my 12" Lodge and usually fill it up! I can imagine using a 10" if you're cooking less. What Size Cast Iron Skillet Should I Buy? Good Questions |

I say ditch the parchment and cook directly on a baking stone. I certainly get better crusts this way. Be sure to preheat your stone for ~30 min with the oven. Want Awesome Pizza? Turn Up The Oven |

I always eat breakfast in the morning, right after I get out of bed and put my contacts in. I'll usually collect some clothes and drive to the gym or hop in the shower if I'm skipping my morning workout. First Thing or Not At All: When Do You Eat Breakfast? |

+1 on Kitchen Thymes. I make granola using Mark Bitttman's recipe found in his Food Matters cookbook. Tons of oatmeal, infinitely variable, and way less expensive than others. Looking for Breakfast Recipes Packed With Oatmeal! Good Questions |

I'll echo others: I love having one. I'm not sure I've used my regular blender since getting an immersion. I own the KitchenAid one and have been very pleased. I really like the plastic 'blending beaker' (with lid!) that came with mine, it's perfect for smoothies and pesto. I do get the most use pureeing squash soup, I tried transferring hot soup to a regular blender exactly once - there was hot orange liquid running everywhere - not so with my immersion! I've never used it in my normal kitchen, but it is magic when I go backpacking. It makes great pasta sauce and chili. In fact, I have some of it in chili that I'll be eating while backpacking next week. What Can I Do With Tomato Powder? Good Questions |

I really think it depends on what you plan on making with it. I have a blender and an immersion blender. I use the immersion blender far more often than the regular blender. A few times a month I wish I had a food processor. For me, it would be immersion blender + food processor. Which Is Better — a Blender, or a Food Processor? Good Questions |

Cupcake stand? Barf! Don't buy that space-hogging unitasker. I was going to suggest a simple arrangement on a platter, but the previous posts of tiered plates seem like good hacks. Do You Use Cupcake Stands? | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I've had great luck with Northern Brewer (http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing), both for equipment and extract kits (I'm not up for whole grain yet). I have a St. Paul Porter fermenting right now. They have a very large selection of good extract kits. Also, they have an excellent website and cheap shipping for those not in St Paul, MN or Milwaukee, WI. The staff is also very friendly, they encourage you to call the store with questions. Homebrew Kit Review: Brewer's Best Imperial Pale Ale Beer Sessions | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Another vote for an immersion blender. I have the kitchen aid one, and making smoothies in the included 'blending beaker' is perfect, and definitely quieter than my Oster blender. I don't add ice to mine, but I add fruit straight out of the freezer and it handles it fine. Also works great on the stove for pureeing soups. Can You Help Me Find a Really Quiet Blender?
