I have the Malber WD1000 washer/dryer combo and I've had mine for about 5 years now and save for one repair to replace the thermostat fuse, I've never had an issue with it !!! I am a single male living in NYC and I do about 4-5 loads a week, so it definitely gets used often !!! I set the spin RPM's at 1000 and that does the trick with regard to excess moisture !!! Since I line dry my jeans, they come out damn near dry !!! My other items get as dry as if they were in a conventional dryer When it's time to replace, I am planning to get the LG WM3455 model as the LG models are known to be extremely well built !!! I like having just one unit that takes up the space of a conventional dishwasher, and I have it integrated in the kitchen behind a cabinet door, so you would never know it was there !!!

I personally prefer the Method brand. I have a front loading machine and I have experimented with the Seventh Generation, Meyers, Martha Stewart's brand (sold at the Home Depot on 23rd St. in NYC), as well as Tide and All. The Method cleans very well, and my clothes smell very clean and fresh !!! I also use about 1/2 capful for a full load and one bottle lasts for months !!! (HE washing machines use very little detergent and save water, so the savings are very significant !!! ) The small bottles are ideal for me as my storage space is very limited and I like that I don't have to waste space with a huge jug of laundry detergent !!!

I love the mango color on the walls !!! I am also partial to the brown !!! I wanted to do a milk chocolate or even darker brown on my walls with the ceiling bright white and the molding and trim a nice bright white to contrast, but after testing the color, the room was a bit dark, so I went with the more mango color !!!

I prefer to pair the ottoman with the chair... Not necessarily in terms of color, but more in terms of style and I feel the ottoman would be used more in conjunction with the chair. Both of the ottomans seem to complement and work with the sofa and the chair and I think that is a good thing !!! I agree that the don't have to be perfectly matched as if it were a set, but complement both pieces of furniture !!!

When I purchase a piece of furniture, I do so with the thought that will last as long as I own it, regardless of the price point !!! I've had my current computer desk for 10 yrs now and still love the timeless modern design of it, my coffee and end tables for about 15 and they're still looking good as well !!! I tend to take excellent care of my furniture purchases so they can last as long as I expect them to !!!

When I was growing up, we were taught not to abuse furniture, we were taught to dust and polish wood, glass, etc. on a regular basis !!! I tend not to think of my furniture as disposable or temporary !!!

There have been some pieces that I've purchased that had a lot of life still left in them that I sold due to downsizing, moving to a smaller place, and also because my tastes have changed from traditional to more contemporary and those who have purchased from me are amazed at how well I've taken care of my furniture !!!

I guess it would depend on one's lifestyle and what value they place on having something of quality that is built to last or something that will only do for a "temporary" situation, in which case I can understand why one wouldn't want to spend a lot of money !!! I have purchased furniture from IKEA, Target, The Door Store, Bob's Discount Furniture and Jensen-Lewis and I'm proud of everything I've purchased and of the quality for the money !!!
