while this is all good for parties ad getting in the mood, its sort of a novelty. people usually dont pay alot for novelty items.

it two years when these are commonplace and a kit like this goes for $75 , then adoption will be higher.

i have a modern space that i would love to use these in but i doubt i would do much with it beyond showing off to friends

its a small price to pay(unless in a pinch)to get a UL Listed charging device (here n the US) that has a small chance to burn down your house

as an architect i like the clean lines and look for the flush mounted plugs and switches. as a realist and builder, that level of fit and finish using gyp. board is hard to obtain and you will end up with many frustrated contractors when you show up on site with these products ultimately paying more.

not impressed with skype for mac. the windows version is much more stable yet the apple version is very "pretty".

it crashes often and video lags frequently (macpro w/ 16gb ram) per the last revision. we need facetime for windows and i think all these chat services will die off.

that price here in michigan plus factor in the cost for additional insulation and heating would be the same. nice idea, i like.

its a great house but the sad point is there is nothing green but potted plants in the area. they have up alot of useable space for exposed decks. the hole in the top scares me. apparently there are no building codes in japan.

Reader Survey: How Often Do You Use Your iPad?

everyday. its like the morning paper and email check while getting ready. i have a macpro i use for work/school at home. sold my macbook and havent looked back. i have a first gen ipad , no cam, dont miss it. i will probally upgrade to the ipad3 if it has some additional features, not sold on better vid cams/cameras, retina display.

this ipad1 is fast enought for web surfing/vacation/temp storing pictures/kids games/school notes/dropbox stuff.
i love the interaction between the appletv/macs as a remote and streaming music.
also the logmein app works great for remoting into my macs.

overall i think its a great filler even with an iphone. the screen is just to small to do any real websurfing.

even digital files can get out of hand, i have collected over 36k song on my mac pro and listen to less that 3% i would assume per month. i just cant let go. maybe when somebody comes out with a mega streaming library plan and ISP dont cap your bandwidth per month i can get rid of some files.
