I recently had to buy a Big and Tall portable chair. I wound up at REI, they had a b-n-t chair there.

another idea to handle the brightness is to use a sleeping mask. I found it extremely helpful, for blocking out light. Especially since the issue wasn't effecting my boyfriend, only me.

the actual list is far too long to mention. I've worked in desktop support since 1993. I'm beyond being shocked or skeved-out by the conditions I find technology in. The thing that gets to me, is when someone asks for my assistance or opinion, and then flat out says "No, I don't that that is the problem, or will fix the issue."

Growing up, my mother's rule was, the tree goes up the Saturday before Christmas, and comes down the Saturday after New Years. Trees were always real, and cut trees, the Charlie Brownest the better. Never an artificial tree.

Since I've moved away from the 'christian' traditions that I grew up with, and the thought of killing a tree for the sheer purpose of decoration, offends my senses these days, I don't even bother to put one up. Instead of I need some tree love, I go to their natural habitat, the woods/forest, and enjoy them there.

And then there is this issue http://www.salon.com/2013/04/14/do_e_readers_inhibit_reading_comprehension_partner/. I've heard about these studies regarding e-readers and reading comprehension. Given that I don't have children, and it's not something I'd really have to worry about. For parents, I would suggest a little further digging into the topic.

I think the response that an iPad is a 'secondary device' is a good way to look at it. I have a desktop at home, that I rebuild every few years, but it is not portable. For my mobile needs I can do a heck of a lot on an iPad. If you have a robust main system at home, go for the iPad. If you're thinking of replacing your main machine, then go with the Macbook Air.

I've used QuickOffice Pro HD for years. It gives me Office functionality, and I can even map it to computer to drag and drop files off of it. Plus, it's a single price for the app, vs $10 per each part of iWorks. Although I believe iWorks was suppose to be free with the role out of iOS7, but I could be wrong on that last part.

I'm extremely embarrassed to admit this, but most of the knives that are in my kitchen were giving to me in my knife kit when I started college. I attended Johnson & Wales College (back when it was a college), from 83-87. Sure I've added to that original set, but my chef knife is still the one I used in college.

I live in San Diego, and am considering relocating to the Bay Area. While I know the prices seem steep, especially if you're living in other areas of the country; you have to keep in mind most jobs pay higher rates to compensate for the higher Cost of Living. Even between San Diego and San Francisco there is a 25% cost of living difference that needs to be accounted for. It will go into my salary negotiations that's for sure.

Heck even in the 80s it was always different. Back when I used to do restaurant work, at a large hotel, my peers in San Francisco always made more money than we did in San Diego.

What I'm trying to say is that it's all relative.

I couldn't agree more, with the "Art of the Walls" comments. I think once you start building up onto the walls, you'll seriously make the space more homey. Consider a grouping of art pieces, of similar theme above the couch, the mirror by itself is too small.

I always use it on Pizza. My friends can't figure out why my pizza is so good. Doesn't matter whether it's homemade, store bought, or delivered. I sprinkling of Curry Powder before service, and folks rave.
