I have mine at work, too. I don't have easy access to a microwave, and prefer this method for heating water anyway, so it's nice to have in my office for when I want tea. Electric Kettles: Should You Buy One? |

Yum. I've switched gin and tonics to gin rickeys lately (soda instead of tonic, plus more lime juice). A little lighter. Also, siberian donkeys instead of moscow mules using absolut peppar in place of regular vodka and garnish with pickled jalapeno. Delicious. Gah! I would hate to be in charge of everyone here's laundry. I think I missed the normal hygiene gene or something. I change mine when they seem dirty, probably every one or two months? But then again, I have super dry skin and no allergies so maybe I have less incentive? How Often Do You Change Your Sheets? |

A salad of whatever was in my produce drawer: kale, carrots, green onions, purple cabbage and an apple topped with salt, pepper, balsamic and oil. Not bad, not bad at all. The apples added a really nice sweetness. What Are You Eating for Lunch Today? Brown Bag Meals |

Making mini chicken pot pies and freezing them has been on my list for a while. I was thinking of making them in muffin tins with pastry on the bottom as well. Do you think this could be adapted for muffin tins? How to Make (and Freeze!) Individual Chicken Pot Pies |

I love all the new designs for coasters I've been seeing around lately but I hate non-absorbent ones. I live in Texas, and in the summer, a cold drink sweats more than enough to run off the edge of something with a glossy surface. Any suggestions for ones that will take in some of the moisture as well? Crazy For Coasters: Drink Responsibly |

Vinho Verde (Famega is my favorite brand but most I've tried are fairly comparable). It's so refreshing! I don't generally like white wine but this is crisp and citrusy and ever so slightly bubbly. And all the brands are so cheap; I haven't seen one for more than $7 or $8! I buy it by the case in the summer. Crisp Refreshing: 19 Fabulous White Wines for Summer | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

Ugh, I wish I could get my roommate to do that. I live in Austin as well and she continues to leave the AC on 70 overnight (causing it to run without stopping) despite our $170(!!!) bill. I prefer it to be closer to the outdoor temperature as well, it makes being outdoors during the summer more bearable. 5 Unexpected Benefits to Forgoing the Air Conditioner | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

There are sculptures similar to the orange tree popping up all over my neighborhood. Some are on the ground, some are hanging from other trees. They started showing up a few years ago and I still can't decide if I really like them. Apartment Therapy Boston | Survey: Lawn Sculptures? |
