my mom actually used tea to dye my wedding shoes. i have unfortunate sized feet and had difficulty finding anything i liked. i purchased a simple pair of satin flats in white. we used a wash of black tea to give them a beautiful antiqued patina.

I usually make a batch of steel cut oats using the overnight method, making a few days worth at a time. I usually put them in the fridge the day after making, but last week I left the pot out for about three days (covered, at room temp). On about day 3, the oatmeal had, without a doubt, gone rancid. It was pretty gross. My lesson? Oatmeal should be refrigerated, for sure.

i think some beautiful decorative hooks hung either in a row or at random places would look pretty. you could hang your most beautiful scarves or jewelry on the hooks.

another idea is to change out the knob with a flat face plate (like others have said) and then create kind of "another door" next to it, with similar moulding. basically, if there's a way to make the door look more like a decorative pannel, you could add another. the symmetry would help make it seem more intentional...

I just got a set of 4 from sur la table, their white collection. I can't seem to find them online; I purchased them in the store. They're perfect- basic, white ceramic, good size and oven proof. They were super cheap, I think around $3.50 or so a piece.

my husband and i lived with this for a while. i spend a lot of time on the phone and it drove me crazy to have every single phone call get dropped. we got a vonage home line to remedy it. i lowered my cell phone minutes (i never use it when i'm out anyway) and the extra cost was negligible. (side note- time warner's internet connection is so horrible that we often can't have one of us using the internet and the other on the phone. but that's another topic for another day).

the thing is, about two or three months after we moved in, our cell coverage improved. we've been here a year now, and we have full strength, all the time. no more dropped calls, ever. not sure if others have experienced this, or just us, but i feel fortunate that we didn't have to change providers...

the same thing here- it was difficult to pack large, bulky items in the bags. everything just got kind of squashed and wrinkled. at least half of the bags ripped immediately after filling (although i may have packed them too much) and all the other ones ripped at some point during a move. like someone else said, they're compact, but they can be very heavy and difficult to grip, carry, etc. if the bags were sturdier, this product would be my best friend for storage.
