Iker is a Spanish name as well, no? I know a couple Mexican and Spanish Ikers.

Not a bulk buyer. The very limited storage space we have it's for the kids' stuff and some of ours, which is already limited and picked through frequently, to make sure what we have is strictly what we need/use at the moment.

I actually want the Ikea potty because it has non-removable parts! We had one with my son that a removable basin, I had to clean both parts thouroughly every single time. I vowed to go simpler when training my daughter. Ikea's being one piece, and five bucks, beats any other, in my book.

I love Drea and her blog. Glad to see M's room featured here. The rest of her house is just as lovely.

I would buy the after stroller as well, and not pay much attention to the first one, simply because I'm not a fan of pink, even for my girl. I do a lot of neutrals for her, and she'll eventually choose what she likes and doesn't.

I recently took to making washi tape wall project for my kids, inspired by a room posted here not long ago. Don't love it as much as I thought I would, but it's staying for now because my son loves the cityscape, trains included. I do love that it comes off clean and easy. Used Target's version, pack of four for like $4 or so.

I love that this is not your typical circus theme. Is more subdued. Really like it. And that topper is wonderful! To think the inspiration one is $80, when it is seemingly easy to make.

Love the pencil arrow ones.

Ha! My first thought about the stripes on the wall was if it was washi tapes as well. Love this after--so simple and homey. Well done!

I really like it, especially that floor! My son would love something like this, being that red is his favorite color (and one of mine, too).

I've never really done much for the kids, other than doing a craft at the beginning of the month that would hang until the holiday and maybe cookies for the day. This year is the first my son will spend it at school, so I'm thrilled to have him hand out cards to his classmates. (I'm totally that mom--he handed stuff out for Halloween and Christmas, too.)

I've been wanting to get some of those mailboxes for my kids, but not really for Valentine's, more like to put up in their room to leave random notes and treats every once in a while. I know my son will get a kick out of that, and probably the baby will catch on. Good idea with the Valentine's treats!

We don't have the owl one, but we love our Skip Hop lunchbag too. Easy to clean, love the clip feature, nice size for a toddler/preschooler, and great price tag. $20+ for a lunchbag? For a kid that will destroy and outgrow the thing in less than a minute? Just... no. We have a Crocodile Creek one too (don't know if any feature birds) but we love it just as much.

We have the Ikea Trones as well. One bin for each family member. Even my 15-month-old knows to put her shoes in there (as well as an assortment of other random stuff). We have a small entryway, in a small NYC apartment, so we love that they're narrow and don't take much space. Easy to clean too.

Just reading this gives me anxiety, haha. I'm not one for big crowds. Great accomplishment! Looks like a fun time was had. And I'm curious, did everyone attend, or at least the majority?

Love the color of the walls, and the bike lamps!

Re:chalkboards-we set one up in the living room, which we recently took down. It went mostly unused and created terrible dust. Was fun for the kids the handful of times it was used, and it was useful last year for Christmas pics and this year for first day of school pics, but, yeah, I'm passing up on them.

I'm in the midst of creating my son a subway train/car costume, as per his request. (He's obsessed!) It has proved easier and more fun than expected to make.

Have to agree with some posters on this one. The girl's room is not that bad, but the boys'? Oy. My first thought also was why the big room went to one child and the smaller one to two. Sucks that the boys requested something and in turn got toile. I usually like one or two things they do, but as a whole, the rooms end up looking somewhat garish. They need to tone it down one notch.

I don't see anything wrong with this party. It's nicely done without being over the top, as a lot of parties have taken a turn to. Quite frankly, birthday parties are as much for the kids as for the parents; we celebrate another joyous year we have made it through as mother and father, and I'll be damned if I don't celebrate it. And especially for the first few years, when kids are not too vocal about preferences, I'll make of the party what I want.
