My husband uses one and seems to like it. However, originally it was bought for me (back and neck pains) but it just did not work out. I felt as if the insides kept on disappearing and were never where I wanted them.

I love it.... except... How do you wash dishes in that sink? Especially cookie sheets, etc.

Any similar weekly planners out there? I have been looking for something to inspire me every time I open it... with no luck so far.

I would love to buy this... but only if it didn ot cost much more than other computers of the same stats. In other words, I bet the price would be twice the amount I could pay.

Very pretty in any case. It is nice to see something different, finally.

Honestly... I would hate to be the recipient of this. One more piece of junk to have take somewhere... and possibly even to feel guilty for throwing out... It would be another matter if the dish held the gift (like a cake) but this is just not a good idea...

Where are all these under counter fridges in Europe, I wonder. I live in Europe and have never seen one in a normal house. (Students have them of course, but I have never seen them as 2nd fridges, otherwise.)

I am hoping to get one of these sooner or later. However, I would want to find out which reader would allow me to actually get the books I would want to read.

So... which of these allows one access to the largest amount of books? I just checked the link suggested by the previous poster but the Coolreader would be useless to me beause I could not find any of the books I searched for. Amazon, on the other hand, had them for Kindle.

"Maybe its still the Catholic engraving in my head that being a woman during THAT time is dirty."

Not flaming here but the truth is that the Catholic church does not teach anything like that. You must have had some weirdos teaching you, whoever they were.

To the person mentioning the pill: I am disgusted that others have to suffer because some make the choice to use it. As someone said, hormones from BC pills are polluting our water supply and causing infertility in some. And there is nothing we (those not on it) can do about it. It will get more and more "interesting" as time goes on.

I had a Keeper for years but now use Instead cups, one per period. That means that I am throwing a bit of plastic out every month. However, I hated the suction of the Keeper and really like how easy the Instead cups are. I wish someone made something like that out of silicone.

Does anyone know of a Bento made of something other than plastic? I love the idea but refuse to buy plastic.

This is a tough one for me. I aways thought we would have many children and saved everything from dd. However, we have been suffering from secondary infertility, and the stuff has been just sitting in the closet.

Now we are about to move abroad, so I really need to decide what to do. So far, I think I will only keep what would be hard to replace and the really good stuff (wooden toys, wool clothes, etc.) The wrap and Ergo carrier I am keeping, and I never even owned the type of plastic stuff that is often seen as needed.

"i feel like the no poo routine would work better on thick hair, i have thin, fine hair"

I agree with this.

I did this for some months. My problem was and is that my hair has been destroyed by untreated hypothyroidism. It is very dry, does not grow much, etc. So.... I have kind of given up for now.

I will give it another try at some point.

OK... As much as I understand how great it is not to always buy something new, I MUST mention the Taga. We have one and it is amazing. I plan to use it with out child(ren) and then as a shopping trike.

When we first teach babies/kids to neglect their instincts, that is when it gets hard to unteach them. I blame disposables, mainly because they have brought along the practice where diapers are changed every x hours, instead of after each time the diaper gets dirty. (Disgusting.. why do people do this to their kids... No wonder there is terrible rash, etc.)

Our daughter did not do #2 in her diaper since she was 8 months old, after I finally figured things out. It is ridiculous to claim that babies are not developed enough to hold it in. (Think of those African mamas who carry their naked babies. Do you think they get eliminated on 20 times a day? Look back in history... I doubt that human bodies have changed that much all of a sudden.)

We have trained ourselves not to know how to respond to the needs of our babies. Then THEY get blamed for not "learning" how to use the bathroom.

I agree with some of the above posters: Teaching numbers to 100 is actually a disservice, unless it is done right. I spent a lot of time as a teacher (1st grade) trying to undo the damage. The way math works, you never count higher than 9. When you reach 10, it is time to move into the bigger house with a different name (tens, hundreds, etc.). Until a child understands this (which won't happen at 2.5), they really should not deal with double digits. (In English it is very confusing, anyway... twenty, etc. In some other languages it is e.g. "three-tens-two", instead of "thirtytwo" which is so much easier for a child to understand.)

For dd the best things were little games where she had to count something and then matched that with the right number card.

It is not a matter of "lighten up." Kids are different... While I love that one, our 4 y.o. dd would cry if she saw it.

I love them! However, I prefer living simply, and something like this will never fit in my budget.

Since, at least for me, the inside is not anything special, how about having a custom made "box" of some sort to put the fridge in.... Woud cost only a fraction and would last forever, as you could replace the fridge.

Yes.. I once lived in a 300 square foot apartment with a sauna in the bathroom. It was big enough for three people. I must say, though, that it felt like wasted space most of the time. My mother uses her sauna as storage. It is actually great for resale value to have one.

Does anyone know where I could buy some of that radiator screen? I am not in the US, so I would need to find it online.

Thanks!

The bench in the picture is the children's storage "sofa" from Colorique, which is a Dutch company. Thus the prices are a bit better in the Netherlands than in the UK and many of the places seem to ship abroad. (Just google Colorique Kimono and you will find this and the other pieces that go with it.)

Also, the Colorique website tells you where their things are sold and there is a place in NY on that list. Who knows if they might have this...
