I recently did my best to pretty up the cupboard under the kitchen sink. It's full of appliances and dish soap, how nice is it really going to look?

It is much more functional, so spending some time on it was worth it. I'm right there with you on 'useful' and 'good enough.'

I just laid out a grid of artwork in my daughter's room, I think it turned out really well. I used a couple different mounting and hanging methods, and containing it in a rectangular layout kept it from looking too messy and busy.

It's a bit late now, the evening of Thanksgiving, but you never know when you might need some appetizers.

My default appetizer/hors d'oeuvre is a anitipasti platter. Salami, prosciutto, olives, cheese for the cheese eaters. Maybe an eggy torta. Some of the grocery stores carry some tasty little breadsticks, or you can whip up some herbed parker rolls, brushed with olive oil and garlic.

I actually assembled this last night for a pre-Thanksgiving poker night, I had to refill the genoa salami and prosciutto a couple of times. I'm looking forward to making it again for a Slav Christmas party.

Between Netflix, and Hulu, and even the library, I can get pretty much any movie I want within a couple days.

If I figure I can wait that long if the mood strikes me to watch a particular title, I sell it on amazon.

I bought ours from Ikea, and use them as closet curtains. It's a really rough fabric, though, not appropriate for sheets or clothes or anything.

I saw the Beatles plywood art linked from elsewhere, and loved the idea.

I laid out some Lady Gaga lyrics on a big sheet of rectangular plywood, but the husband gave it a thumbs down. Ended up going with Beatles lyrics in the ends as well. :)
