I love that pillow! Funny timing, I have had ticket stubs on the brain lately, and I just posted a Ticket Stub Magnet project on my blog yesterday. http://theplaidowl.blogspot.com/2013/01/diy-concert-ticket-magnets.html

Smart ways to use something a lot of us probably already have lying around the house. Maybe for Thanksgiving you could leave markers out and have everyone write down things they are thankful for?

Also I really love the light wreath. Did you make it?

@jess13 if you read the post you'll see that was kind of the point. It is supposed to look like a hand drawn blueprint.

I think it looks great.

"5. Do not taunt Magic Eraser."

That made me laugh so hard I almost spit water on my computer.

I've never fully understood all of the chalkboard plant accessories. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I figure as soon as I went to water those plants (unless I was really careful) I'd end up just washing the chalk right off.

Yeah, if I were going to make my own I'd get a craft circle punch and then go get a bunch of paint chips from the hardware store. Then I'd have lots of colors without having to mess with too much paint. And it would look very precise because you couldn't smear it. Easy.

Thanks to everyone for your awesome suggestions. You've really given me a lot to think about. To everybody who suggests just giving it a good cleaning and leaving the fabric as is, I would, but the fabric is worn through in places that you can't see in the picture.

So, anyone care to educate me about the style of this particular chair? So far I've just been referring to it as "squarelike".

This is so cute, but I would be too afraid to ride it and scratch it up. More of a Bike-As-Art thing.

My college professor named his house, it was called The Brook. He said his wife had named all her houses in her life and that her previous one was called The Bee. It was cute, but they definitely had the kind of house that merited a name. It had a lot of character.

Thanks for all the nice comments! It was a lot of fun.

As for the grittiness, well, it was a party outside so I guess there's only so much you can do. But we put all the food on plates and then on trays, plus we kept everything covered when it wasn't being served so no bugs or outdoor debris would blow on it. No dirtier than any picnic or camp meal. We didn't have any complaints.

Also, to everyone who liked the tablecloth, I made it from a few yards of fabric I found at Hobby Lobby. Completely unexpected find because usually fabric there is slim pickings, but I just happened to see it and think it was really pretty. Total stroke of luck.
