PAINT THE CABINETS WHITE! You might want to put the same white on the walls too, so there's not a patchwork of different whites. This will (visually) open up the space and make it much easier to live with for a while. Once you've done that, have a look and see whether the floor would work as is for the year, and what touches might bring some additional life to the area. Wish I knew anything at all about cleaning rusty metal, but as far as storage goes - after you have cleaned the lockers as best as is possible, a few sheets of shelf paper per surface which will hold things should protect your stored items. How To Treat Rust on Vintage Lockers? Good Questions |
