Hah! I have that exact vacuum too and yes, it is great. The washable filters are so nice and the power paw gadget works well (though I did just spend an hour picking long cat hairs out to get it to turn again). It has a HEPA filter too. It's not fancy in the least, but I really enjoy grapefruit in a fruit salad with nata de coco (coconut gel; look for it in asian markets) and whatever other fruits you have lying around (tropical fruits, guava, papaya, berries...) Huh, that's an interesting color scheme! Since you can't really change the tile, you might want to work with it. I'm feeling something very Hollywood Regency-- shiny gold and mirrors and bling. Personally, my primary concern is how much time I am able to spend with a pet. Some pets (fish, lizards, small rodents) can get by with just feeding and cage/tank cleaning. Others, like birds, need a lot of socializing. (Ever seen a bored bird? It's not pretty.) Landlord Friendly Pet Options | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

Beautiful vintage piano-- I grew up playing an Acrosonic of more recent provenance. It isn't a great piano by any means; you're paying for the look in this case. For that price you can buy a rather nice new upright. Hans Wegner Wall Unit - $450 Washington DC Scavenger | Apartment Therapy DC |

I inelegantly skirt the 'no dining room table' problem with a drop leaf table that folds down into the size of a console table, and folding chairs that live in the closet. I would argue that the people who shop at WF and the farmers' markets will continue to do so. Meanwhile, the people who shop at Wal-Mart now have access to good local produce, and the local farmer has another place to sell his goods.
