Put a sectional in the middle of the room facing the alcove where you can keep the TV.

If your going to stack wood as a design feature, you should take the bark off because that's were most of the bugs are. Once the logs are cleaned up, there's no reason to think they can't last a long time like any other wood in your home.

Weave branches horizontally through the railing. Or, believe it or not, chicken wire painted black practically disappears.

I was thinking the same thing. 12" x 24" parallel to the tub. Although this would make the room seem longer. 12" x 12", or 13" x 13" laid out staggered might work also. One other option could be to use small 1" or 2" tiles with a busy pattern in them. Maybe something like a marble or granite. Use a medium color grout and when it gets dirty, it won't be very noticeable because it would blend in with the tiles.

A lot of these comments on here crack me up. Like put art over the couch and paint the walls. Wow -- what design by numbers book did they get those ideas from? This apartment is GREAT! I wouldn't change a thing!

What did they think would happen? Unless they have a lot of money, an expensive irrigation system, and have people come by weekly to maintain the wall, then of course it's going to die. Another good idea gone bad.

I love the decor, but living in a church leaves me a little cold. Churches seem cold and foreboding. It's probably why people don't have houses built like Churches.
