The morning is my preferred time. On especially hot days, it is better to give the water BEFORE they get parched and begin wilting and have to spend valuable energy recovering. Though, if the soil is dry after a hot/sunny day, an occasional light watering before sunset won't hurt. I also try to take into account recent or coming storms.

On revisiting the photo, what's the point? What is this fence keeping out, or in?

Love the originality, shapes and repurposing. Wish it was a little less literal. A unifying paint color would have me thinking less "Cool, a fence made of bicycles.", and more "Wow, what a hot fence! oh, and it's made of bicycles! Love it"

Be sure to include some leafy green plants. Even without painting or rugs or ceramic backsplashes, a plant will provide warmth to the space and soften the suburban sterility. Lemon trees and lemon grass are very beautiful and popular. Window boxes with cooking herbs can be done in an attractive way as well.

Its a little too "look at my collection of random bowls". Would be great in a retail setting, but not in a functioning kitchen.

Nice idea. Is there a contingency plan in place should the cord attached to the garden gate fail while the door is in the closed position? Seems like you could find yourself locked out of your bedroom. I'm also curious how the door opens from inside the bedroom.

The stress created over not getting sick pushes the immune system to the point of inability to fight infection. The behaviors described (hourly immune boosting remedies?, compulsive wiping of doorknobs, assigned towels) seem clinically obsessive. Some studies have shown those not exposed to bacteria or viruses during youth have an immune system ill-prepared to fight disease in adulthood. Daily vitamin, wash your hands, exercise. Live your life, stop fearing illness.

I suggest using one neutral color for the entire space. It really is one room, by definition. A color transition would be distracting to the eye. You can achieve different personalities for the spaces through different bold colors in accessories, window dressings and furniture styles.
