Take your kid(s), if any, and your pet(s), and leave the house. Abuse usually escalates. Get a temporary restraining order (call your local women's shelter or Legal Aid office).

It can only get worse if you stay. LEAVE NOW.

Adopt/ foster a dog. Join a structured volunteer program (check out volunteermatch.org, Big Brothers/ Big Sisters, etc.). Connect with your local alumni group/ industry group.
Groups like Toastmasters and Junior League are in almost every metro area in the US.
Join a community garden. Just go for a walk-- leave your house, go out into the world.

If you thought to yourself, "I don't want to do any of those things", still do it. If you've done it, try it again. The first year I was in Junior League, I didn't make any friends. Fast forward to the second year--it's an important part of my life.

I'm so impressed by your handiwork!! I also like the material-- if you're going to have a fake/ knockoff, let the world know! I want to jump in and read a book and snuggle with my fat kitty!

I use two physical alarm clocks: an 18-month-old puppy and an 11-year-old cat. The puppy provides the physical part (jumping on bed); the cat provides the alarm part (yowling).

I'm with the no-naughty-words commenters here. Yes, it's a cute piece, but it's also something I would put away for an AT photo shoot...I was pretty effing surprised to see it there! Ha!

At first, I thought, "Oh no, they're going to paint that beautiful table!".

Then I saw a puppeh was involved, and I cracked up. That is hilarious!

Aherm. Personally, I'd go with Consumer Reports' recommendations. They do extensive testing, are non-profit and non-biased, and know the difference between "it's" and "its."

They've never ranked a Dyson product as a "Recommended" product.
