I love everything about this... fabric choice, leg color, skill to do it. Great work! Before & After: Adding Pattern and Color to a Slipper Chair Confessions of a DIY-aholic |

This is an inspiring idea. I have a short space between a tall dresser and wall that could work the same way. I have a lot of scarves too and was glad I had so many that were "expendable" one day when I was baby sitting a toddler. She loved playing with my scarves and was so adorable swishing them in the air. Before & After: Streamlining Scarf Storage |

We live in the mountains in a townhouse in between 2 other townhouses that insulate our place very well. Even though we've had snow already this year in early Oct. and the night temps have been in the 30s we haven't had to turn on our heater yet. However, we did turn the heat on for a few minutes just to make sure the furnace is working properly BEFORE we need it. Like others have commented we like putting extra blankets on the bed at night and wear sweaters, hoodies & scarves during the day. When Do You Decide to Turn on the Heat? |

I think the circles work well. Before, the chair had vertical stripes which made it seem even taller. With the circle pattern, the chair becomes more balanced and less awkward looking without taking away from the unique outline of the chair. A smaller pattern would look good too but the size of the circles used are fine. Notice how the size of the circle is perfect for the width of the cushion. Great job! Those are beautiful blue chairs. I would make room for the extra too. Love the peacock chair stacyg. Everyone would fight over who gets to sit in it. The Simple Serendipity of Craigslist |

Oh I like the after much better too. It looks much more inviting with the light striped fabric. Good work! Before & After: $69 Loveseat Makeover The Turquoise Piano |

It is a good idea but I don't think you would even need the tape. If you have the earplugs firmly in your ear, the headphones would keep the cords in place. I use this kind of a set up in music composition when using headphones for the piano keyboard and earplugs to hear the music software on the computer. We use the assigned section of the closet method to hang up the worn-but-not-dirty clothes and that works well for us. I agree that if the clothes smell, then they should go into the dirty clothes hamper. 5 Ways to Keep Worn (But Not Dirty) Clothes Organized |

We sometimes get too warm with flannel sheets so I usually have a flannel bottom sheet and an Egyptian cotton top sheet of coordinating colors. Instead of a hot water bottle or herbal microwavable bag, I made several microwaveable bags from fabric remnants and rice for myself and friends. I pop it into the microwave for a couple of minutes and it keeps my toes nice and toasty for at least half the night. If my feet are warm, then the rest of me is warm. This past week was minus 23 wind chill here so it's been tested! Cold Weather Bedding Essentials |

Speaking of Nutcracker, I played in the pit orchestra for Nutcracker for maybe 30 years. I would always bring fudge to the orchestra on dress rehearsal night. I would often bring three different flavors. Everyone would look forward to it and ask me that week if I was going to bring fudge again this year. Alas, I moved to another state last year and no longer play in that orchestra but I still get FB messages about the fudge. 7 Holiday Traditions to Start This Year |

I have carpeting in my music studio and use to have just the plastic mat under my rolling chair but I put a nice decorative rug on top of the mat and the chair rolls on it quite well. It improves the look of the studio and during the winter, it keeps the cold off my feet. Apartment Therapy Unplugged | Would You Ever Go For a Desk-Area Rug? |

I like the library/cozy reading area the most. Also, think about putting a short wrought iron fence on the right straight area of the stage, a small bistro table, 2 chairs, maybe even a patio umbrella tilted (if room) or a valance from the ceiling that mimics the shape of the stage edge. My idea was to make it look like an outdoor cafe area. Apartment Therapy New York | Ideas for Awkward "Stage" Area? Good Questions |

I love this idea. My husband and I work on the computer at home. Our two studios have windows looking into our bird garden (which is definitely a work in progress.) It's wonderful to catch a glance at the activity in between computer work. Very calming. Thanks for this post. It's a great idea for those who have the opportunity to create a view like this.
