Beautifully done. I recently stayed at the Dom Hotel in Cologne and they had done a similar treatment with stone tile. It seems that wrapping a finish in small spaces can expand the room (especially if there are lots of angles and small walls).

It may be the angle and the lighting in the photo but it seems that the ceiling is painted a bright white while the rest of the whites in the room are creamy or ivories. I would suggest that the ceiling and any other bright white trim be painted a creamier color to complement the tile. It will help "wrap" the wall finish to the ceiling and diminish the "unpainted plaster" effect.

Or you could tag them with colored tape or color them with a marker. Seems easier.

As an art piece it's great.

However this design will not work as a keyboard. The textured pad surfaces will cause damage to the fingers with repeated key strikes, even if they are made out of a soft material. Sustained use could cause musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). No go.

Hey all, it's the OP here. Thank you all for your input, we'll definitely be doing shades plus curtain panels to the height of the lower wall. I was going nuts trying to find matching panels in two lengths.

Again, thanks!

Use only unsalted butter for baking to have more control. These cookies will turn out way too salty if you use salted butter AND add salt. Blech.

I also switch the egg and butter ratio, that is, use 1 cup butter (2 sticks) and 1 egg.

I've made these by hand and in a mixer. Both ways are easy and have great results.

Unfortunately cheap and budget-friendly are not always equivalent phrases. If a designer is involved, $10,000 for one room would be a tight budget, especially if new furniture is needed.

Open the windows as frequently as possible. For soft furnishings you could try sprinkling baking soda over the surface and vacuuming off after 20 minutes. I wouldn't do this on protein-based fibers (wool, silk) though.

Well, I just bought a Nordicware half sheet pan from Walmart that proclaims "we practice green manufacturing". I'm not sure how "green" working aluminum can be. At least it was made in the US.

Fully air the sheets for an hour in the morning. Throw all the blankets on the floor and flip the top sheet over all the way off the end of the bed. Make the bed if so desired.
