I just got back from the south of France and miss the cheese above all else. She is so right about the level of cheese at a truck stop being better than most cheese here. It's amazing. I miss it more than is healthy...

Inexpensive option: I have taken my favorite photos from each country/city, printed them as 4x6s, cut out white paper (to make them look like large polaroids), pasted them on said paper, written the location on the larger white side, and hung them in rows of 6 on twine with paper clips. (Feel free to use clothes hangers if you have some handy).

At least 3 of my friends have stolen my idea and everyone has loved it. It shows off each place you've been without making your friends go through a million photos or look through a book. Simple, cheap, and very elegant actually. I wish I could include a picture.

If you're really on a budget (like me) you'll like the 45 cent dish towels at IKEA. I love them. They kinda suck at drying, but they're really pretty...AND 45 CENTS!!

Two memories: riding on my godfather's shoulders at the Rose Bowl at the age of 4. And waking up at 5:30AM to go to Covent Garden in London with my mother.

Both great memories and I love antiquing to this day.

Just made this soup for dinner and it was fantastic. However, it certainly doesn't look like enough for 4 people. Two probably. But maybe I just have a huge appetite. Haha.

Every single one of my IKEA knives has broken off its handle or bent. Never again.

I was lucky enough to just return from a two week vacation in Provence, France with my family and we came back with bags and bags of Herbs de Provence. My mom uses them in cooking...but since I'm just learning how to cook (21 years old and I still overcook pasta) I'm savoring my herbs. What I DO use them for is in my Rosemary bread. I bought a herb grinder in France and grind up the herbs into the Rosemary bread I bake instead of using the Italian herbs it calls for...and the bread is sooo tasty. My family of 4 will eat two round loaves in one sitting.
