I'm the first to admit I don't adjust well to change. So I'll refrain from commenting on the new layout and navigation until I've given myself more time to adjust. But is it just me, or has the actual content decreased? I'm a long-time follower of the main AT and Ohhdeedoh, and have tried reading both those "channels" since the change...either I'm totally crazy or there are far fewer postings actually coming our way. I'm bored.

I agree with airexurb on letting your son stay in the crib until he's ready. Ours just transitioned out at 20 months and he destroyed his room the first two weeks (FYI vaseline is very hard to get out of children's hair and carpets). Now he loves it and actually sleeps better, and he calls for us in the morning before coming out of his room. If it's too early we yell - no, it's night-night time still! We used a moses basket when he was little, maybe even for the first 2-3 months. Your son might be ready to move on by then. Also, the Gulliver crib converts to a toddler bed - you could just use that for his first bed and go ahead and buy the new crib.

So glad to hear I wasn't the only one noticing an overuse of the original. I've gotta find the "we're all buggered" version referenced above - LOL!!!

All good ideas...but its seems like almost all toys these days are for kids 3+, or else they're for wee little babies. Does any one have suggestions for a 20-month-old? Maybe the little finger puppets would be good.

Or another option would be the more expensive but gorgeous French Kitchen Table. I've seen similar pairings in several magazines.

We paired ours with an antique pedestal-style round table that I inherited from my mother-in-law and previously thought was heinous - they look great together! The curves of the table soften the look of the chairs and make a nice contrast. If you want a rectangular version, consider the Kipling Extension table from C&B.

Straight from the tap, and that's coming from someone who designs drinking water treatment plants for a living. While there are most definitely trace contaminants such as antibiotics and hormones in our drinking water supplies, there is no scientifc evidence showing that these contaminants, in these extremely low concentrations, are harmful to human health. So don't waste your money on expensive filtration systems - if you don't like the taste of chlorine, use a Brita or Pur filter, or fill a gallon jug and keep it in the fridge.
