bepsf and creative license, thanks so much for you photo comments! creative license, I use a Canon EOS Rebel xTi...just an entry level DSLR. The key though is that I use a tripod which allows me to get longer exposures when needed and I try to use natural light whenever possible. I shoot most of the house tours with a wide angle lens, but the vignettes are almost all done with a 50 mm fixed lens (best lens ever at under $100). Hope that helps! Thanks Emily the Cat! I actually just use a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi so nothing too fancy as far as DSLRs are concerned. For the vignettes, I use a fixed 50 mm lens (it was only $99...best lens for that price) and I love it. I did invest in a 10-22mm lens for the wide angle shots. The real trick though is correct light balance and lighting...I never use a flash and always use a tripod when needed. Hope that helps! And thanks for the kind words! Here are some details as per your questions above... @moraija - yes, they are the Corona couches from Macys, and for the size and price we love them! @noogs - the kitchen dish towels are from Anthropologie and William Sonoma @richardrothstein.com - the trunk we use as a coffee table is from Target @puccilevy - the mug holder is awesome!
