SIIIIGH* We used to have the wrought iron headboard in red and recently had to take it down in order to re-arange the room to create more space. It was one of the hardest decisions I had to make so far this year! Maybe I'm dramatic, but the empty space in my heart says otherwise. I miss that thing so much! FANTASTIC! Such a coincidence! Yesterday and today I've been having what I call a "Hoarding Party". I brought out ALL of my gently used home decor/ kitchen/ clothes/ etc tons of random objects (which trust me was A LOT), set them up all around the living room, and gave all my friends two days to come and take whatever they wanted before I ship everything out to goodwill. I admit it was a huge waste of $$ for me, but not only do I have very little time to get rid of it all, I couldn't possibly keep all that stuff anymore(it filled a whole storage unit in addition to our spare bedroom closet)! I was SO SHOCKED by how much stuff just flew out the door! Every time someone leaves I say "One less load to carry to the car!" And now I have so much less work to do, thank God! We have a very similar shelf for our collection except it is a very dark wood, one piece, and has 8 shelves. I see the positive side of having the album art showing... But I like to have the spines' showing personally. I am definitely still in the learning phase. Sometimes I manage to keep the whole house fairly clean, then other times I get overwhelmed and it's a complete disaster(understatement). I just want to know how to balance cleaning with daily life! Or maybe it just being lazy? But from what I've gathered you need to spend AT MINIMUM 30minutes per day working on cleaning up, otherwise it just gets out of hand. But I guess I'll know for sure in a few more years eh?
