i really love your home. hope you win!

i decided i would paint my apartment on my own last summer. long story short, i never finished. i did one coat pretty much of this dark navyish (i believe it was called moonlit pool) and then gave up. i had the extra cans in my front hall closet (closed super tight, I might add!), then i dog sat a few weeks later and the doberman decided to run into the closet door, knocking over all the paint cans so my entire closet is covered in navy blue paint (including the hardwood). needless to say i hired someone to repaint my apartment this year but i still haven't taken care of my closet yet.... hahaha

are they covered or is it just the lighting playing tricks on us?

I got the Black & Decker from Walmart but for about $30 about a year ago. It works great for picking up kitty litter bits my furry friend trails out of her litter box and for picking up hair in the bathroom. Only flaw is that it doesn't hold a charge for very long, but it's definitely one of my favorite things in my bathroom.

the kitchen is beautiful, wasn't expecting to see a change like that. lovely!

i was watching a crazy cat show on animal planet this past weekend and i remember some expert saying that you should keep a litterbox open so that the cat doesn't get possessive over it and doesn't use it as a hiding spot. up until hearing that i always planned on making something like this - so to compromise i've put the litterbox in the bathroom and added a kitty door to the bathroom door so my girl can always get in there

i purchased the white cotton panels from west elm, my plan is to keep them as white as possible until they wear down, then stamp them with a homemade stamp in whatever color matches my ever-changing color scheme then :)
