I got a vintage sofa professionally recovered. I sourced the fabric on my own online. While the fabric color and texture is perfect for the graceful curves and glamor of the mid-century piece, the color is NOT. It's a geometric print in light brown and cream velvet. 3 months in and the cream parts just look dirty and gross. Would have been fine for a young woman living alone, but add a dog and a man that thinks furniture is just for watching football from and, well, it's not holding up.
