I was drinking them yesterday! I made mint lemonade for an extra refreshing kick.

I have yet to find a truly healthy nut-free granola bar. I'm allergic to tree nuts and that's a main ingredient for bars that aren't actually candy bars.

I much prefer fall through spring cooking to summer cooking. My motivation to cook during the summer does lessen, but it's mostly because I like to cook heartier dishes, soups, roasts, etc. I eat a lot of salads and grilled meals during the summer.

After a few days in the 90s, we're in the low 50s today and I'm so excited to cook a ratatouille tonight!

Yeah, I've hit my limit with this. I don't need more things to worry about. I do try to use glass (or other non-plastics) when heating in the microwave or for hot liquids; however, that's mostly for taste because I think the plastic flavors the food and beverages. I hate the way it makes my tea tastes if I use a plastic-lined to-go mug.

The only method that works beautifully and consistently for me is this: Rinse the greens and spin them dry. Place them into a clean, dry bowl and cover with a damp paper towel. Then loosely cover the bowl with plastic wrap. If the towel dries out partway through the week, re-wet it.

The taste and texture wasn't too bad, but they upset my stomach. I'll take the extra minutes to make up real pasta.

I have a Cuisinart SmartStick and it is AWESOME. I have a small kitchen and it fits in there perfectly. I use it for hummus and soup mostly, but I make a lot of both. I will always have one.

The fact that I can and do make everything already with my two hands and/or a wooden spoon has kept me from getting a KitchenAid. Even though they're SO PRETTY. I just don't NEED it and I don't have the space for it.

A hand mixer would be lovely so I don't have to make whipped cream with a whisk though...

I've been wanting to try this as an alternative to chai tea lattes! (It's more of an iced green tea latte than a true shake, right? No ice cream?) I just haven't yet because matcha is so expensive!

I recently realized that I tend to overcook my eggs, especially scrambled eggs, and mine usually would stick no matter how much oil or butter was used. This was fixed by increasing the temperature to a medium-low and letting the mixture sit for 15-30 seconds before folding. It takes less than two minutes for me to cook 2-3 scrambled eggs. However, they're not nearly as creamy delicious looking as these! I'm going to try this method.

I love my oatmeal with a tiny bit of sugar and either berries, raisins or plain during the week. A single serving bowl of 1/2 cup old fashioned rolled oats cooks in my microwave in exactly 1:47 minutes without overflowing the bowl. It's perfect.

Weekends are my time for brunches! I'm looking forward to seeing different recipes for things I can cook up then. I can't wait to try the Big Pancake! YUM!

My favorite easy, quick one-bowl meals are either rice or pasta mixed with vegetables (heated frozen or left overs), a touch of butter or olive oil, salt and pepper and a dusting of cheese. Add tofu, chicken or tuna (left over cooked or canned) for some extra protein. Yum! This got me through college. I like this new alternative!

C. Adams Bakery has the BEST baked goods. Their huge cookies (peanut butter chocolate chip!) and cupcakes (red velvet... yum!) are absolutely to die for. It was dangerous when I worked a block away from the market.
