I believe the older we are - the more difficult it is to combine our belongings. I married a man who had very specific ideas about how HIS house would be decorated and after 3 years of trying - we divorced. His world was grey, black and crome while mine was light, bright, colors and textures.... Guess sometimes we are just too old and set in our ways to change - even for LOVE. When I found the house of my dreams I made up a notebook using a 3-ring binder. I put the realestate listing on the front. Inside I placed everything that applied to the house. I cut pictures out of magazines of furniture. I had a section with fabric swatches and paint chips. I kept receipts and closing papers, to do lists and contact information. I have been in my home for almost a year now and I still go back to the binder for support and guidance. I am anxious to read the answers you get because I recently purchased a home that has this same kind of blind on every window...........and they are very large windows. 4' wide and 5' tall.
